Amateur, Unsigned, And Independent Entertainers Receive A Unique Opportunity Of A Lifetime
The online talent contest based in Dallas, TX, was created by Founder and CEO, Elliott Jackson, whose desire and goal was to change the talent contest scene worldwide.
"There are many talented people out there who never get the opportunity to share their gift with the world. They dream of stardom and fame only to have their dreams extinguished by time and the harshness of life. I started EnterView Nation to provide amateur, unsigned or independent entertainers the opportunity to show the nation and the world what they have to offer. The opportunity to have real people vote and provide real time feedback to help the entertainer grow in their craft is invaluable to aspiring entertainers." stated Elliott Jackson.
EnterView Nation allows the entertainer to take all that hustle and determination and channel it into one platform that gives them the best opportunity to realize their dreams. This is the opportunity of an entertainer’s lifetime.
Any amateur entertainer will be able to set up their own artist stage on EnterView Nation's website for the viewers to vote on. The website is an interactive, social network platform where the work can be displayed and the artist can interact with their fans. Language or geographical location doesn't matter. All styles are welcome and encouraged to register. The contest is like no other. Entertainers compete for bi-weekly cash & prizes and the leading vote getters in each category will receive a Grand Prize at the end of the contest. This is not a publicity stunt, this is American Idol and Americas Got Talent all rolled into one and driven by the power of social media.

Introducing Prelude: The First Affordable App For Musicians
Successful acts know how to connect with their fan base. In this day and age, that means more than just a web page, e-mail blitzes and a social media presence. It means providing a connection with fans wherever they are--any time, anywhere.
It means having an app.
But custom apps are expensive and time-consuming. Enter the revolutionary new Prelude for iPad. Prelude is inexpensive and lightweight. Best of all, Prelude will get you in the App store and on an iPad in one month or less.
With Prelude for iPad, artists can bring together news, social media feeds and tour info for fans on the go. Taking advantage of the iPad's revolutionary high-resolution Retina screen, uploaded photographs and video look simply stunning. Most important, music released in-app can be priced by the artist. Once purchased, the app remains with the fan who purchases it, and the artist keeps the profit.
Custom apps are priced way beyond the reach of mere mortals. That's why Prelude has been designed as a framework, which means costs are kept down by providing everything an artist needs without end-to-end customizability. With that said, artists will get an app experience that is as unique as their act. For a modest deposit and a low monthly fee, acts can load Prelude with albums, photos, videos, set lists, logo, colors, social media feeds and tour dates--everything needed to keep fans informed and connected.
Prelude for iPad will be available by the end of July, with further versions for different platforms and devices to appear in due course. Artists and labels interested in getting on board are encouraged to contact Bruce Pegg at bruce@getprelude.com for more information.

Celebrating 12 Years; Websites, PR And Marketing For Entertainment - The Very Best And It's Affordable!
At OurGig, we are giving back to our communities in ways that we hope will make their most crucial challenges better for everyone involved. While, as a result of the Internet among other things, there is increasing interconnectedness between everyone and everything around the Globe, the majority of the wealth is increasingly being concentrated in the hands of a few. This has long been true in the music business where artists and musicians have shared in the fruits of their creativity in ways that are disproportionately less than the big music companies. In response to this disparity of wealth-which more than ever today is a worldwide trend-OurGig provides valuable, Internet-based tools to artists and musicians. These are typically individuals with the least amount money who we help re-capture their professional identities, bring them closer to managing their own affairs and allow them to participate in the revenue streams being generated by all kinds of new, social media which they would otherwise be left out of. Because of the number of artists that we have been able to provide these valuable tools to, we are successfully achieving our goal of "putting the music back in the hands of artists". A "radical" philosophy? Maybe-but it is one way we can contribute to helping make, in the words of Carne Ross, the author of "A Leaderless Revolution", a "better world". THE OURGIG DIFFERENCE Because of the interconnectedness that exists today like never before, each artist with only a few clicks, can make a difference. We provide a Global artist-musician community with the tools to make the differences they intend to make-through their art, through their messages and through their music. Actions in their own communities can have global impact. The tools that we provide to support them in this way include: - Providing artists at any level or time in life the valuable tools and resources that ensure they stay connected not just to fans but to valuable revenue stream. - Connecting new artists with resources to avoid pitfalls of bad or restrictive contracts and remaining independent wherever wise and possible. - Facilitating economic recovery for older artists utilizing reputation or accomplishments to open opportunities and revenue beyond active years. - Creating and developing networks in all genres and professions where likeminded artists can share benefits far beyond their own circles or communities. Fan Funding now on Whotune.com
Whotune.com, the one-stop for the new music industry is pleased to announce the addition of a new ‘Fan Funding’ platform to its already impressive suite of tools for unsigned & independent artists.
Now artists can create music projects for funding on a platform 100% dedicated to new music.
Funding on Whotune is unique in that it is the only funding platform that includes unsigned artist Radio stations, live webcam performances, music sales, extensive user profiles, Global Gig guide, contests, free apps, charts & much more!
Whotune Founder & Managing Director Karl George commented: “Traditionally artists have had to create funding projects on sites that have a focus on the broader community, not the music community so the music projects tend to get somewhat lost. On Whotune the funding platform is integral to all of the other tools & features we offer & music is the ONLY thing we do.”
The benefits of this integration are obvious: artists can promote their music sales and gigs, perform live webcam shows & direct fans to help support their funding project while they are there on the site discovering new music.
Artists can create a Project video which tells potential sponsors what the funds raised will be used for; this can range from recording a new single or album, video production, tour support etc. The artist then sets a target for the funding amount & a timeframe in which to reach the goal amount. They then create ‘Pledge’ levels, these can range from $5.00 through to $2000 & they offer different incentives for each pledge level. These can range from exclusive tracks to t.shirts, exclusive concerts or anything the artists thinks will create a fun pledge bonus!
Once the funding goal amount is reached in the time frame selected, the funds are drawn down via Paypal & made available to the artist to complete their project. If the goal amount is not reached No money is taken & the artist is free to try again.
For fans it is a unique opportunity to support artists & help their career in a very real & tangible way.
Whotune is fast becoming the number 1 destination for unsigned artists, Fans of new music and music businesses. Its suite of free tools for music promotion is unmatched and is growing rapidly, check it out on www.whotune.com.

The Blood Of Heroes - Blinded
The Blood Of Heroes - Blinded: http://fairtilizer.com/track/110568
The world is laid to waste; a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Bands of armed looters scurry across the ash-strewn landscape, locked in constant battle with enemies seen and unseen. What was once a functioning society is now a lawless land, kill or be killed. This is the vision of the world that is created by the "The Blood of Heroes" with the song "Blinded," their debut track from their first record, "The Blood of Heroes." A crashing beat of electronic drums, found sounds and distorted guitar coalesce into an intense end-of-the-world stew. All fans of dub, drum and bass and ambient music will enjoy this new group.

The Blood Of Heroes
A year long recording process involving guitar genius Justin Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu), bass superpower Bill Laswell (Material, Praxis, Painkiller), electronic artists Submerged and Enduser, vocalist Dr. Israel, and others has culminated in the self titled debut of The Blood of Heroes. Taking its name from the Rutger Hauer film that followed Bladerunner, the group delivers on all ends from rock to dub to drum n bass to spacious sounds and fills in all corners in between. Industrial Dancehall, Metal Dubstep, Ambient Drum n Bass, the album is the crossover of crossovers - musicians creating where their heart takes them without regard for limitations. Broadrick summons some of the absolute direst guitar dirges alongside the beauty that he now explores with his Jesu project. Enduser's glitch programming strides in territories previously undiscovered, and Submerged's blocky beat sound adds girth to the post-apocalyptic nightmare of The Blood of Heroes. Dr. Israel's vocals carry warlike dancehall vibes and add a narrative sense to the record, placing us firmly in post solar flare society. Live drumming appears on several tracks, provided by Seattle's KJ Sawka (Pendulum) and Budapest's Balazs Pandi (Merzbow, Venetian Snares). Additional sound design and guitars are provided by film sound editor and designer M. Gregor Filip, one of the original founders of Ohm Resistance.
Peripheral support coming in the form of gear wizard Joel Hamilton (Studio G, Book of Knots, BlacRock) on the mix controls, and artwork from Playboy cartoonist Khoma, rounding out a listening experience worth far more than the price of admission.

![]()
Website: http://www.mxp4.com
Paris, France - April 13, 2010 - MXP4, developer of interactive music solutions, today announced the official launch of the MXP4 Editor for PC. Previously available for the Mac OS, the Editor is postproduction software used to create MAX IT-enabled interactive music applications. The MAX IT technology delivers dynamic, on-the-fly arrangements of music in one file that acts as an interactive single or album.
The MXP4 Editor works by importing the separate instrument tracks, which artists then organize to create a MAX IT enabled interactive music app. The MAX IT technology takes the elements of individual songs and automatically re-combines them in hundreds of different ways, giving a different listening experience each time the song is played. Delivered as a single MXP4 file, the song or album app also includes embedding and social media features designed to drive viral distribution of the music as web app. To date, artists using MAX IT to create interactive, auto-remixing albums include Michael Jackson, The Bravery, Basement Jaxx, Passion Pit, The Grouch & Eligh and Pep's.
"MAX IT gives musicians the opportunity to connect with fans in an entirely new way, providing them with an increased level of interaction and a totally unique music experience," commented Albin Serviant, CEO of MXP4. "By offering a completely innovative means of playing with music instead of just listening to it, artists can leverage a more engaged fan-base that is more readily converted from listeners into purchasers."
Recent MXP4 data showed that fans played with an average of 2.6 tracks for an average of 9.1 minutes on each MXP4-powered Web app. Fans also made heavy use of the built in viral tools with 75% of the traffic to the Web apps being of viral origin.

88tc88: Connecting Western Bands & Chinese Fans Through Mandarin
Website: http://china.musicdish.com
By Eric de Fontenay (Founder & Publisher)
A growing number of Western music companies are dipping their toes into the Chinese market, hoping to increase opportunities for independent artists in one of the most dynamic and treacherous music markets ever. We've already reported on Australian-based Cowbell Digital Music, which launched a Chinese portal earlier this year. Now, Berlin-based 88tc88, which took advantage of the global attention on SXSW 2010 to introduce its Web-based translation service, is enabling Western bands and musicians to access and sell to Chinese music consumers.
The service tackles a basic problem with going global: If people can't search your band name or song title in a browser or search engine, you don't truly exist in that market. Considering the fact that searching the internet is the #1 way Chinese consumers access music, having your information accessible in Mandarin is key. This is not just true for Mainland China. Citizens of Taiwan and Singapore predominantly speak Mandarin, while countries like Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam have significant Mandarin speaking populations.
I spoke with Thomas Reemer, founder and chairman of 88tc88.com about their partnership with Shanghai Synergy Culture & Entertainment Group to launch the service, and how to avoid Chinese censors and monetization in the face of piracy.

Nashville: Paying It Forward With MusicStartsHere.org and 3rd Sundays at 3:00

By Michele Wilson-Morris
"It's really a celebration of the human spirit." These words, spoken by Will Carter of MusicStartsHere.org in Nashville, might never have been more sincerely stated or supported by technology, good will, and a city that is truly progressive. I recently had the pleasure of interviewing and meeting Will and his colleague, Doak Turner, about their website MusicStartsHere.org, and several other innovative things that are being done in Nashville, the music publishing capital of the world.
Will Carter is the owner of a financial services company with branches in Michigan, Florida, and now Tennessee. He has also been a musician and songwriter at heart for the past 20 years with 3 recorded albums. He moved to Nashville to run his newest business venture, but also wanted to indulge his creative side there as well. Being a business man, of course, he looked to the city for direction as to what he should do to begin his career there.
"It was like going to Vegas and finding that someone had hidden the slot machines or roulette tables when you'd come there to gamble. Everything I've read and seen about Nashville is part of what makes Music City (Nashville's nickname) such a great place. People come here because they want to see their dreams come true; they want to make it in music. Their dream is the slot machine and they want to pull the lever and see it happen." Soon after arriving in Nashville, Carter met Doak Turner, who gave him several contacts, but Carter found the process to be a bit more cumbersome than he thought it should have been. He was convinced that things could be easier, and began a journey to make that happen.

Zimbalam's Digital Music Distribution Service Launches In North America

Website: http://www.zimbalam.com
Paris, France - March 11, 2010 - Zimbalam, the largest digital music distribution and marketing network, today announced the launch of the US version of its distribution network. Zimbalam, owned by independent music distributor and service provider Believe Digital, provides artists with access to 25 of the most popular music stores such as iTunes and Spotify and unprecedented global reach through several hundred additional stores worldwide.
Zimbalam delivers transparency and marketing control to artists with real-time daily sales data, CRM tools such as email newsletters and social networking promotional widgets. Zimbalam's widgets make global marketing easy by automatically detecting a person's location and then promoting to the most popular music stores for that region.
To maximize artist revenues, Zimbalam simply charges an industry-low annual fee so artists can keep 100% of royalties. Zimbalam's nominal fee is $29.99 in year one then $19.98 per year after for an EP or album. Once the fee is recouped, artists keep 100% of royalties generated from sales. After the initial year, artists are only charged if they have sold enough music to cover the low fees, essentially eliminating financial risk.
To celebrate the South by Southwest (SXSW.com) festival, Zimbalam is offering a special rate through the end of March, with distribution of the first album at a reduced rate of $5.99. Artists taking advantage of the special rate can effectively start making money after only one album is sold. Artists can take advantage of this offer by using the code SXSW when signing up at www.zimbalam.com.
"With Zimbalam, our goal is to bring the largest distribution network, the strongest marketing tool set and the greatest revenue potential, all at the lowest price point, to the US independent music community, " said Believe Digital and Zimbalam CEO Denis Ladegaillerie. "We want to make sure that independent artists have the chance to not just realize the best business opportunities, but also to realize the opportunity to break through on a global basis."
Bridging the gap between the independent music community and major labels, Zimbalam also gives artists with breakout potential the opportunity to benefit from the A&R team of parent company Believe Digital (www.believedigital.com). Artists with strong performance on the Zimbalam network are assigned a personal A&R manager to provide valuable advice and support on release strategy, marketing and promotion investment and to ensure they are receiving the greatest exposure while maximizing monetization opportunities.
About Zimbalam and Believe Digital
Believe Digital is the largest distributor for independent music community, based on both geographic reach and number of distribution outlets. SoulSpill, Storming Colorado's Alternative Rock And Grunge Scene
By Jon Peritz
SoulSpill, a new band hailing from Colorado is poised to storm onto the alternative rock and grunge scene with their debut LP. This five piece group includes Kevin McKinnie singing lead, Eric Taysom playing rhythm guitar and signing backup, Jesse Howard on lead guitar, Josh Corbet on the bass guitar, and Joel Burns smashing the skins.
SoulSpill sounds like a mash-up of Black Sabbath and Pearl Jam. They incorporate heavy guitar riffs and deft high-speed solos into blues infused licks. "It isn't overly heavy nor overly soft," said the band. "It uses a lot of different influences that blend together." The group loves and studies the music of forerunners like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd as well as grunge pioneers, Nirvana. This influential range lends a unique sound to SoulSpill. Characteristics of all three of these bands are readily apparent in SoulSpill's music, but there is also something more, a unique tone and image. "[Our] image comes from people listening," said the group in a recent interview, "we just want them to see us in their own way, and that's the image we'll convey."
SoulSpill is full of seasoned musicians with countless gigs under their belt but the band has ceased touring to focus on the record. They have been faced with some major challenges inherent in the music business. When asked what the biggest challenge has been so far, the band agreed that, "this portion of it, trying to get our music out to an audience," has proved the most difficult, but they added: "If you love it and believe in it, never give up on it. Promote yourself with all means available and keep at it." Good advice for any up-and-coming artist. SoulSpill has also been forced to overcome bad advice. They were once told that, "if the music is good, just wait to be discovered." A sure-fire road to failure.
The group is very excited about their first record, their first impression, really on the world. The album is currently being mixed and mastered and is slated to blast off later this month or early next. SoulSpill endeavors to "leave footprints in the musical world," hope to soon play venues like Whiskey A Go Go and the Troubadour. With the musicianship and unique sound like their's, it's doubtful that they will stop there.
