Emerging Singer-Songwriter Roxanna To Release Debut Album Exotica On July 8, 2014 Via RoxArt Records

Entering into the music world with a devastating heartbreak, the incomparable Roxanna penned "Unforgotten," a sorrowful but soulful song, threaded with hope for tomorrow. "That song was my therapy," Roxanna notes. "It just poured out of me, and helped me believe all of this happened for a reason."

With the introduction to Exotica, lead single "Close Your Eyes" takes you on a personal journey with its dramatic storyline and emotional lyrics, Roxanna's heartfelt message is strongly emphasized by the elegance of her gorgeous vocals. "There is a light at the end of the tunnel, after every storm there is a rainbow, just an overall hope in the end."

Roxanna believes, "Music should bring pleasure, it should be elegant and relaxing. It's all about friendship, pleasure, romance, love and beauty." Roxanna's world of experience is translated through her passion for music and songwriting. She was born in Iran in the midst of an ongoing war with Iraq. As a child, she turned to music for balance and tranquility, religiously mimicking the English-language songs of Olivia Newton-John.

After traveling the world and experiencing both heartbreak and love, Roxanna has teamed up with the best in the industry to release Exotica, a collection of stories that are universal and inspiring.

Roxanna is determined to craft every song and lyric as relatable to whomever will take a listen with the intention to always spread love and healing through her romantic songs and stories. It was while studying to be a nurse that Roxanna witnessed first hand the healing power of music. Roxanna sang each night to a young man battling cancer. When he was released, the man's father said to her, "My son is better because of the way you sang to him." With that, she realized that music, like medicine is a great healer and it was then hat she realized she needed to pursue signing as a career.

For her full-length album, she contacted well-known producer Mark Portmann credited with working with Julio Iglesias, Barbra Streisand, and Christina Aguilera. It was her rendition of Aguilera's "Lift Me Up" that convinced Portmann to bring Roxanna under his wing. And what spawned from their collaboration was Exotica, a seamless, mastered mix of adult contemporary, classic pop, and world music.

Listening through the album, you'll be taken on a journey of love … from the first moment of flirtation to the confidence you find with everlasting love.

Featuring a string of romantic songs including new renditions of The Hollies 1972 hit song, "The Air That I Breathe," and Lionel Richie's 1984 smash hit, "Hello".

Autism's Newest Anthem "Not So Different" Written And Performed By Acclaimed Singer/Songwriter Cassandra Kubinski

The song "Not So Different" was created out of a need for a rally cry for autism. Vanessa Ticona, a mother of two young boys on the autism spectrum, approached friend, singer /songwriter Cassandra Kubinski to add her voice to the movement by creating a song for her upcoming charity walk. The result was "Not So Different". Since its creation, "Not So Different" has been downloaded, shared, and used as music background to personal videos to help raise money for autism programs, services and research. Additionally, singer/songwriter Cassandra Kubinski has performed the song in person at the Autism Speaks Westchester/Fairfield Walk, at Music for Autism and The Help Group events, and in concerts designed to raise funds for the above organizations.

Kubinski's "Not So Different" is meant to foster acceptance and understanding. As the song says, "It takes every color on the spectrum to make the world so bright...love speaks in a million ways." Ultimately, it's about understanding that everyone wants the same things: to love and be loved without being judged or changed.

This past January, the "Not So Different" video, produced by Daniel Neiden, was shot entirely in NYC by filmmaker Nick Lopez. Featuring children on and off the spectrum, the video brings a diverse community together, celebrating each individual within it. The goal of the Not So Different Project is to raise one dollar per child diagnosed with autism, which is $2 million dollars in one year. The song is available for download and sharing and local organizations are encouraged to use this song to showcase their cause via crowd funding sites or live events (walks, chorales, concerts, etc.)

"When Vanessa asked me to write a song for her walk, I knew this was a way to use the healing power of music to contribute to the cause. I wrote "Not So Different" to inspire acceptance, love, and perseverance, and to give people dealing with autism an anthem that lets them know they are not alone. When you think that one in every 88 children is diagnosed as being on the spectrum, there is a real opportunity for "Not So Different" to make a concrete contribution to autism programs, services, and research, and many people to spread the good word."
"Not So Different" singer/songwriter Cassandra Kubinski

As a performer, Kubinski has been seen in the title role in Goodspeed Musicals' 20th anniversary of Annie; and Tom Jones / Harvey Schmidt's Mirette. She has become a regular guest singer at venues including Metropolitan Room; Bitter End; 54 Below/Backstage; and her music has been heard on Lifetime's "Dance Moms", NBC, Bravo, Food Network, MTV, and more. She has collaborated with Chris Botti, and Billy Joel who said of her, "Cassandra Kubinski is a rarity...very similar to the legendary solo artists of the early to mid 1970's...she proves that the genre [singer/songwriter] is not only alive and well, but that it is still capable of being transcendent."

The video for "Not So Different" was produced by Daniel Neiden and Living Lotus Project (www.livinglotusproject.org); co-produced, directed and edited by Nick Lopez and Paula Gil of 27 Jesters Productions; associate produced by June Rachelson-Ospa; and was shot in NYC's Leman Manhattan Preparatory School.

THE BACKSLIDERS REUNITE TO RELEASE RALEIGHWOOD EP

The Backsliders are bringing back their signature ‘Hard Core Honky Tonk’ sound with the release of Raleighwood, the band’s first new recording since 1999. Original members Steve Howell (Guitar), Chip Robinson (Guitar, Lead Vocals), Danny Kurtz (Bass) and Jeff Dennis (Drums) are back and they have picked up right where they lift off, bringing along new member Greg Rice (Keys). This new five song EP hits you right in the gut and leaves a lasting impression - reminding us all why we fell in love with these outlaws in the first place.

Having ushered in their unique alt-country sound on top of their don’t-give-a-damn attitude, The Backsliders defined rock and roll and set the stage for North Carolina’s blossoming nineties music scene. David Menconi of the Raleigh News and Observer described the band as, “fallen angels with grizzled faces” noting that "they've not lost one iota of awesomeness since their mid 90's glory days.” Now more than ever, they are ready to stake their claim. Robinson’s cigarette vocals are grittier than ever and Howell’s intricate guitar stylings merit comparison to something supernatural. The band is a force to be reckoned with.

Raleighwood isn’t the only trick up The Backslider’s sleeve. This fearsome fivesome will be releasing a new music video for their new single “Headlights.” and will also be playing a CD release show Saturday, June 21st at The Pour House Music Hall. They also have two additional shows booked - July 5th at the Eno River Music Festival and July 19th at the Double Door Inn in Charlotte.

In the meantime, check out the group’s website, thebacksliders.net, where you can preview their new material, and find additional information about the band.

Michael Samis Brings Lost Cello Concerto To Life

Sometimes, great music is forgotten and overlooked. Like a precious gem or piece of gold buried in the dirt ¬– with the passage of time people fail to remember. The forgotten Cello Concerto, composed by the gifted and prolific Carl Reinecke is one of those lost gems that deserve a dusting off and a return into the repertoire.

Samis, a Nashville-based cellist, launched a successful KickStarter campaign and brought this historic piece of music to life. With no recording currently available, the public response around the world to fund this project was tremendous. The recording was released June 10, on the Delos label with the Cello Concerto as the centerpiece of this debut solo album.

A performance on February 11, 2013, was likely the first time the piece has been heard on U.S. soil since the 1890’s. The Cello Concerto was recorded a few months later with the Gateway Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Gregory Wolynec at Austin Peay University’s George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall, in Clarksville, TN.

“I discovered Reinecke's Cello Concerto, which was written in 1864. I had to learn this piece! Its soaring melodies and brilliant virtuosity remind me of Mendelssohn's violin concerto,” says Samis.

"The music is compelling and full of emotion, as it looks back to the work of composers like Schumann and Mendelssohn. This debut album is built around connections to the past, looking back to music and people for their inspiration.”

Country Music Favorite Eric Huff Releases New Album

http://mi2n.com/press.php3?press_nb=174946

Eric Huff's music is often described as modernized, traditional country music. His new album, "American Boy," reflects the style of country music adopted and loved by the Baby Boomer generation, both through the music and the artwork. The album will be released physically on June 21st and digitally on June 17th. The album release party is June 21st at the Leesburg Music Festival in Ohio.

Eric Huff was born in Ohio, where he began playing the guitar at the age of thirteen. In the beginning, he concentrated on Rock and Roll, later becoming interested in Country, which he has performed exclusively since. Huff began, and continues, his touring career in Clean Cut Country Concerts as well as many festival and charity events. Huff has also entertained at several Nashville clubs, Shotgun Red Show, and the General Jackson Show Boat.

"American Boy" was produced by Perry Music Group, which is run by the sons of legendary Nashville songwriter Wayne Perry. Bryan Wayne Perry, Wayne's oldest son, serves as Project Manager on the release. Justin Wayne Jones, Wayne Perry's protégé, produced the album at the famous Dark Horse Recording Studio in Franklin, Tennessee, while Dave Hagen served as engineer and Cecil Meade, Huff's manager, served an instrumental role to bring the production group together.

The new album features three Wayne Perry songs as well as original Huff material and a few crowd-pleasing contributions by other writers. Many people feel the Baby Boomer generation's biggest contribution to both American and World culture is music – notably through the genres Country, Rhythm and Blues, and Rock and Roll. These styles have stood the test of time, becoming established in people's lives over decades. Today's rapidly changing technology has flooded the music world with new niches that often don't see the success of these more established genres. Huff is well known for delivering the best by traditional Country music standards.

For information on Eric Huff's new release, "American Boy," and the CD launch party at the Leesburg Music Festival, visit www.perrymusicgroup.com. For questions, contact Bryan Wayne Perry bryanwayneperry (at) gmail (dot) com.

KAYLA ADAMS Lights A Fire With Debut Single, "Sober & Sorry"

http://mi2n.com/press.php3?press_nb=174945

"She's got the heart of a gypsy and the voice of a star."
- Andrea Blair, MONTANA WOMAN

Nashville, TN (June 17, 2014) – Newcomer KAYLA ADAMS is lighting a fire at radio with her debut single, "Sober & Sorry" (SSM Entertainment). The track, available to radio now via CDX 597 (Track 5) and Play MPE, is a Rock-tinged, straight-shootin' Country girl's answer to good love gone bad. Written by Adams, Billy Atherholt (Montgomery Gentry, Chris Daughtry) and Pete Nanney (Chris Daughtry), "Sober & Sorry" tells a tale of a woman wronged and vengeance sought. Inspired by a past relationship, Kayla confides, "I didn't burn his house down, but I wanted to. Instead, I just walked away."

These matches-getting restless
Don't wanna-feel useless
Kerosene in my truck, been waiting all year to burn somethin' up
You're out-with the guys
Well that ain't no surprise
I'm tired of waiting by the phone
Gonna have a little party of my own
You'll wake up sober and sorry

Start a fire, bring the hurt
Pile it up, watch it burn
First the keys to your car
Then your records and your old guitar
All your clothes turned to dust
Every last picture of us
Believe me you'll wake up sober and sorry

Adams' voice grabs the listener like a vice; the razor sharp electric guitar of JT Corenflos drives a track that pounds with the prominent bass of Mark Burchfield and the rock-solid beat set by stick master Steve Brewster. Music City legend Wanda Vick weaves her magic on dobro, mandolin, acoustic guitar and banjo while Jeff Roach slices the keys in counterpoint to Mike Payne's gripping guitar work. Produced by Marlon Dean Scallan, the single offers an immediacy that demands the listener's attention – and keeps it; heart pounding and a**-kicking.

Kayla performed the song for an enthralled crowd at Renegade Radio Nashville All-Star 3rd Anniversary Party during CMA Music Fest Week. This week, the blond, blue-eyed 24-year-old beauty will visit programmers in New York as she continues her radio promotion tour that has already hit stations in Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee.
RADIO is saying:

"In a world of pre-fabricated singers she is a genuine, bona fide artist ... if Nashville is looking for the next big female artist they should feast their eyes and ears on Kayla."
- Jarrett Jackson, KCJC FM

"A breath of fresh air in a musical environment that's primed for someone new, exciting and real. Her voice, emotion and conviction make Kayla today's newest and brightest ray of sunshine."
- JR Runyon, KCNY FM

"Kayla Adams is 'spitfire country' and full of energy!"
- Robert Freeman, WDKN FM

"She sings, plays guitar, writes songs and has a fantastic personality. All the ingredients to be a 'Country Star.'"
- Tom Duke, KQUS FM

Impact Soundworks Releases Vocalisa: Slavic Women's Choir

http://mi2n.com/press.php3?press_nb=174927

Impact Soundworks released today Vocalisa: Slavic Women's Choir, their latest virtual instrument for the Native Instruments Kontakt platform. Vocalisa features the traditional vocal ensemble sound of Bulgaria and other Slavic regions, as popularized in albums such as "Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares" and soundtracks like "Xena: Warrior Princess". The library is available for special introductory pricing through June 30, 2014.

The choir of Vocalisa is provided in multiple section sizes: full choir, altos, sopranos, mezzos, and soloist, with independent patches and controls for each. The library offers a selection of the most frequently-used syllables, ornaments, and vocal effects in this style of music, along with dynamics ranging from the quietest sotto voce pianissimo to the loud, brassy fortissimo that Slavic choirs are known for.

Impact Soundworks was founded in 2007 by award-winning composers Andrew Aversa and Wilbert Roget, II with the goal of creating innovative, affordable and unique sample libraries "designed with composers in mind." Impact Soundworks instruments and libraries can be heard on countless blockbuster film, video game, and television scores.

"Ever since hearing 'Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares', I've fallen in love with Slavic music," said Roget, lead designer of the library. "To properly capture that sound and present it in a virtual instrument has taken over three years, but the result has been well-worth it!"

In addition to multiple section sizes and articulations, Vocalisa includes two intuitive playing modes: a "grid mode" allows for manual programming of syllables in patterns that can be saved or loaded as presets, while the "keyswitch mode" provides a method of playing and triggering any syllable or ornament in real-time. The inspiring user interface of Vocalisa also comprises built-in effects, individual syllable tweaking and offsets, and mixing tools.

"Our goal with Vocalisa was to create something both authentic and flexible. It's equally well-suited to both traditional Slavic music, and hybrid cinematic cues with dense layering," said Roget, "Or anything in-between. With all of the editing options available and both playback modes, you can customize the library to your tastes and personal style."

Vocalisa: Slavic Women's Choir is available now at Impact Soundworks for a discounted intro price of $99 (list price: $129). This deal expires June 30, 2014. For more info, demos, video, and to purchase, please visit:

"Breakaway" The New Music Video Combining Fast-Paced Synths And High Energy Animation

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s79EiVs9-sU&feature=youtu.be

You feel the sweat pouring form your face like cold bullets weighing you down, your legs are stiff from being overused and you’re down to your last breath. But nothing can stop you from cycling your way to victory and your heart pumps to the beat of “Breakaway”, the latest track composed by Hearts in Notes to commemorate cycling season and it’s intense competition.

The new single has an accompanying music video however that lets you in on the intensity of competitive cycling; using 3D graphics and the chugging beat of “Breakaway”. The video starts literally at the start line, where all the cyclists are lining up to take off into their quest for the finish line. It’s there where the 3D band beings to set-up and play the warrior song for the main protagonist of the music video. Once the cyclists run off, the protagonist is seen trying to be competitive throughout the entire music video, going through historical cycling routes such as Italy and France.

Interesting use of camera angles and animation give the video a sense of urgency, as the viewer is watching a tiresome cyclist use all of his might to get through the course. At times, cameos from the 3D band make an appearance to cheer on the cyclist and are an integral part of the music video’s cut scenes to add depth and artistic value to the story behind the cyclist. The 3D band has a tint of other animated bands, as the also play a role in the music video and help it cycle along.

In the end, as the cyclist seems to be giving up and become tired, you’re gripped into his focus and suddenly the music becomes louder, and the cyclists desire intensifies and that results in him crossing the finish line in first place.

It around this time where the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia come around, and this new interesting genre of animated instrumentals are used as motivation for athletes and intrigue for artists, combing two passionate activities, sports and music, into one synergistic creative art form.

Moscow-born award-winning recording artist Marina V is embarking on a 7-week coast-to-coast U.S. Summer Tour (called The C Minor To Shining Sea Tour) in her Toyota Prius.

The Los Angeles-based singer and her husband/co-writer and guitarist, Nick Baker, have mapped out, booked and organized the national tour entirely on their own.

They enlisted help from fans, many of whom are financing and hosting several of the shows.
Toyota Santa Monica is partially sponsoring the tour, which will take Marina and Nick on an 8,500 mile 25-concert journey across the United States. They will visit National Parks, historical landmarks, and will be making a documentary along the way.

This kind of tour is extremely unusual, as independent artists like Marina don't have the big-moneyed marketing machine of the record industry behind them. By being smart and crowdsourcing, Marina V is managing to pull it off.

"I am extremely grateful to my incredible fans for helping out with this tour.
They're helping us organize the shows, getting us places to stay, publicizing the tour and even helping us make the new tour tshirts!" comments Marina, whose last few albums have been sponsored by her worldwide fanbase (she raised almost $30,000 via her website, MarinaV.com, for her new album, INNER SUPERHERO.)

Toyota Santa Monica is partially sponsoring the tour of the environmentally-conscious husband & wife duo.

"Nick & I are very excited to have Toyota Santa Monica sponsoring a part of this tour," says the red-headed singer/songwriter, a recent recipient of The LA Music Critic Award and an international award from Sir Bob Geldof.

"Being that we're touring in our Prius, we thought it would be a cool idea (and a perfect match!) to contact Toyota. Toyota Santa Monica jumped onboard," Marina adds.

"Nick & I have played over 700 concerts worldwide, but this will be our longest tour so far. We are really thrilled about it, and excited to see parts of the U.S. we have not yet seen. And I feel very lucky to have such love and support from my listeners and to be living my dream."

The tour started in Pasadena on June 7th and will take Marina and Nick through 24 states. It will include several unusual venues such as wineries, living rooms, libraries and even a church. The Tour Wrap Party will be held in the heart of Hollywood at The Record Parlour, a vintage record store with a stage.

Indie Singer/Songwriter Craymo Releases Retro Rock Love Song That Gets The Party Started!

Orlando, Florida indie singer/songwriter Craymo releases a retro rock love song, Love You More, that gets the party started!

"Catchy retro hand-clapper that’s more sophisticated and moody than it’s happy vibes let on" Devon Jackson Music Journalist

"Fresh sound in an over-crowded pop world" 360 Magazine

The feel good song of the year! One of those songs that instantly transports you to another world for three minutes of dancing, singing along and having fun!

Inspired by the sounds of early Beatles, Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley and The Romantics, it’s a retro rock song of love, co-written by Craymo, for his partner of 20 years. He says: "I wrote it about that feeling inside that over-takes you and makes you realize how much love you have for another person and how beautiful that person makes you feel."

The Mersey beat meets TRex vibe instantly lures you into tapping your feet!

Love You More was a finalist for Best Rock Song in the 2014 Indie Music Channel Awards and the instrumental version was recently licensed on Tony Hawk’s Ride Channel on YouTube.

Love You More is co-written and co-produced by Craymo and Chris Capozza for Moho Productions, LLC. The song was recently released and distributed globally on iTunes, Amazon Music, eMusic, Spotify and other download sites on indie label One Love One World Records.

Craymo also co-wrote the opening title theme song for the family film Lucky Dog release date 2014!
