Hollywood Music In Media Awards 2015


Sista Jeans Blues Machine was awarded the "Best Blues Band" by the Hollywood Music In Media Awards for 2015."I couldn’t believe it was our name announced as I was adjusting my camera for who would be coming up to the podium" says Sista Jean."I was so happy that it ended up being our band. "The Band works so hard To deliver everytime we step on the stage". I’m really proud to be working with all of them.

Coming off a 3 year world wind tour with Actor/Musician Hugh Laurie, Sista Jean was one of the featured singers in his band "The Copper Bottom Band.As an Indie Artist, "you really have to work hard in getting you and your band noticed on your own terms".

Sista Jean and The Blues Machine will take a most needed break during the holidays, and will return in 2016 promoting their newly released 2nd cd "Requiem For A Heavyweight(Tribute To Odetta)

The album pays homage to Odetta, who Sista Jean grew up listening to, and who influenced her musical direction with The Blues Machine. Our First single off of the album is "House Of The Rising Sun". "I Feel our arrangement of the song will really get folks paying attention to what the story is all about" says Sista Jean.

I became a huge Leadbelly fan while performing with Mr. Laurie. he exposed me to the greatness of the "American Songbook". "We as Singer/Songwriters and Musicians really do have a lot to be thankful for when it comes to the music.

Artist Brandon James Is Looking To Take The World By Storm

Chicago Illinois native artist Brandon James is looking to make waves over the digital world with the release of his single Surreal on November 9th 2015. It will be available for listen and download on ITunes and all major streaming sources.

Brandon will be celebrating the release of his new single with a performance at Reggie's Rock Club (Chicago IL) on Dec 18th at 8pm.

In addition Brandon will follow up the success of his single with a EP release on February 1st 2016. The album has been described by test listeners as "one of the most soulful and eclectic albums I've heard in years."

Brandon James was born "Brandon Foster." He states that he "started doing music as an outlet for his depression early on in life." Constantly challenging himself to become better at his craft, he has taken voice lessons from Bobby Wilsyn, Ars Musica and Andrew Schultze. He has played with Earth, Wind & Fire and performed at some of Chicago's most notable venues including the UIC Pavilion and the House of Blues. Brandon has also earned a degree in music performance and business from the Columbia College of Chicago. Forever seeking to share his story and testimony, Brandon seeks to inspire, touch hearts and provoke thought with his music.

Tuned Global, an Australian white label digital music provider has announced today that it has appointed three executives with extensive experience for leading brands in both the music industry and digital marketing sector, to help drive its transformation to a global player. Tuned Global's successful recruitment drive has attracted some highly respected talent from Australia, France and the Philippines for key roles in client management, business development and marketing, all based at its Sydney offices.

To boost its client management capabilities, Spiro Arkoudis has joined the company as a Senior Account Manager from former client, Samsung Electronics Australia. As the Applications Partner and Content Manager, he was responsible for Samsung's Milk Music Services and worked previously with Tuned Global to launch Samsung's Music Hub.

Spiro has also contributed to the success of numerous music and technology start-ups that became acquisition targets for major corporations. He was the ANZ Country Manager for Musiwave, a leading mobile entertainment content provider that Microsoft acquired. Prior to that, he worked for an iconic independent Australian label, Festival Mushroom Records, which Warner Music acquired.

This extensive music industry experience has allowed Spiro to garner a thorough understanding of various businesses, licensing and revenue models required to ensure customers' needs, strategies and expectations are delivered.

Virginie Chelles has been appointed as Head of Marketing. She came to Tuned Global from a top ten digital agency in France, called Tequilarapido, where she was Head of the Social Media and Digital Marketing department. She created that department from scratch and under her leadership; the team generated a one million Euro portfolio in its first year working with prestigious brands including Kia Motors, Orange and Jim Beam. Prior to that role, she was Head of the Consulting and Sales Division in the same agency, where she led campaigns for Total, L'Oreal and BNP Paribas. With her deep understanding of the digital landscape, Virginie is an expert in using creative and strategic digital solutions to achieve business goals and build brand awareness.

Kind-Hearted Compassion in Action Presents the ELEVATE GENIUS Concert and Charity Event December 12, 2015 at the Yost Theatre in Santa Ana, CA


Some promises are meant to be kept. When Orange County attorney Pamela Tahim‘s brother, Jesse, asked for her help on his new project, she happily agreed. His dream was to create a movement to make popular mainstream hip-hop music more socially conscious. Sadly, Jesse passed away a few days later at only 24 years old from a pulmonary embolism. In honor of her brother, Pamela, along with psychologist Dr. Sonia Singh, founded Kind-Hearted Compassion in Action Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to creating awareness and activism of critical social issues such as poverty, homelessness, genocides and human rights abuses.

Kind-Hearted Compassion in Action Foundation provides a platform to talented musicians, artists and activists who come from adverse circumstances to be able to share their work.
