FNX Releases New Hip Hop Single "Cant Out Rap Me" Featuring Chris Rivers, Son Of Late Great Legend Of Hip Hop Big Pun

"Can't Out Rap Me" is more than a boasting rap song from Connecticut-native hip hop artist and rapper FNX, it's a MISSION STATEMENT. The insightful and lyrical rapper wants the world to know, "You can make more money! You can sell more records! But you CANT OUT RAP ME!"

The single from rising monster of hip hop FNX (pronounced Phoenix) also features rap star Chris Rivers, and introduces another young and hungry Connecticut rapper SeeS - aka Scott Sheldon. Recorded at the Factory Underground in Norwalk, Ct, mixed and mastered by Kenny Cash, the song will be included in FNX "Sum of all Fears" Mix Tape coming this fall. The single will be released in September on iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, Beats, and 100 streaming/retail platforms around the world. The song is currently available for preview on Soundcloud.

At the core of FNX's music is a story of perseverance and positivity, overcoming life obstacles amidst a journey of self-discovery. He was born Kenneth Shuler of Norwalk, Ct--long before he would turn to music as an outlet for his teen anger and depression.Faced with childhood homelessness, surviving abusive experiences in a shelter with his young mother, the at-risk Norwalk teen found solace and self-awareness in hip hop music.

His story, it turns out, has a lot in common with Chris Rivers, who lost his own father at the age of six. River's father, Christopher Lee Rios, who the music world knew as rapper Big Punisher (Big Pun) died in February 2000. "We went from riches to rags after my father died-we house-hopped a lot. We lived in a shelter. All that taught me to be humble and everything you do in this world you have to earn it. The material things can come and go--it can be taken away from you in a minute," Rivers told Source Magazine in 2016.

"I'm really proud to have Chris on my track," FNX said. "I knew he'd be bring it and he absolutely kills it. But getting to know his story, I realized how much we have in common--that really floored me. We both grew up without a father. Both of us had to fight to make it on our own."

FNX, a rap artist whose massive drive for success has taken him all the way from the Norwalk, Ct shelter system to a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of New Hampshire, is an artist defining success purely on his own terms. "Honoring the culture of hip hop and giving back to the community" are two wide ranging ambitions that he hopes to achieve with his music, and he isn't waiting for musical success to get started; He celebrated his last release with a unique fundraising event called "Hometown Love," held at Norwalk's George Washington Carver Community Center. The event which FNX produced and hosted featured a six-team basketball tournament and raised 600 non-perishable food items that were donated to Norwalk Ct-based charity food bank Person to Person. FNX is an alumni of the Carver Center, which he credits for keeping him off the streets as a child, and focused on his education.

With "Can't Out Rap Me" here is FNX, a rapper quickly gaining national attention with a deep love and commitment to community, going for no less than an Olympic Gold Medal against Chris Rivers, one of rap music's royal offspring who has carved his own well-deserved rap pedigree. All the while sharing the spotlight and passing the mic to a raw new talent who is nothing short of his own ball of lyrical energy, FNX is content to let the fans decide whose verse rocks he hardest.

"I'm ok with that cause at the end of the day, I just know one thing in my heart: "They can make more money! They can sell more records! But they CANT OUT RAP ME!""

WHAT IS THE SECRET?

Formed in 2007 by songwriting partners Mario Novelli and Jorie Gracen, The PondHawks have since captured a worldwide audience with catchy melodies and a pioneering approach to music. Some may call it retro-rock with a now sound, but the band's unique signature style falls into its own category.

Indiana Guitarist Denis Taaffe Sets Sights On Grammy With His 199th Album

Indiana Guitarist Denis taaffe set sights on Grammy Awards with his 199th album Release. Calling Bloomington, IN based guitarist prolific would be an understatement. With his latest album release, Modern rock Guitar Vol.199 'Illuminati', the solo electric guitarist is approaching the 200 album barrier. The guitarist uses regular guitar and guitar loops done on the fly along with bass emulations on guitar and drum machines or drum samples to create an instrumental musical style that is his own. To top it off, all of the tracks he creates are performed and recorded live in the studio and improvised on the spot.As he explains "the fact that all of my music is improvised on the spot allows me to create a lot of material. Looping has made this possible. It is like doing a multi track recording, but rather than recording one part at a time, you are instead reacting to what you hear and trying to come up with guitar parts that compliment it instantly. If your not careful, It is easy to make mistakes and requires a lot of concentration. After all these years of playing this way, it has almost become second nature to me". Since his debut album in 1999, Denis has been busy creating and independently releasing 199 full length albums. "well, each album allows my musical style to develop and evolve. As a result my musical style changes and develops as well. Denis has his sights set on this year's upcoming Grammy awards for his 199th album." I have submitted albums in the past and gotten on the entry list from which Grammy nominee's are chosen depending on votes, but I never get enough votes to become a Grammy nominee. however I am pleased to participate." Denis states. Last year, Denis was not included in the Grammy entry list due to a technical error in his submission."Oh yes, I had planned on participating ,but discovered there was an error with my entry. so this year I was a bit more determined to be included". Denis is motivated and determined in this aspect, as he has submitted and been included in over ten Grammy awards entry lists.Over the years, he has never been nominated or won a Grammy award, however he continues. "for me, its not really about winning ,but more participating. I am quite please to be in the Grammy entry list as an independent artist with no record label and be listed with some really well known artists. Anyway, without a record label it is the best I can do". So where does he go from here? He was excited to tell me about his 200th album and the changes in his style. "well, my 200th album which is not out yet, is a radical departure of my musical style since I began in 1999. however, if you listened to the past albums , it is a natural evolution in my musical style". Denis is the kind of hidden gem among undiscovered musicians that isn't common place and makes for a great story. If anything, you must admire Denis's creativity, determination and motivation in pursuing his art and following his dreams. He continues to hone his craft when many would have called it a day.

Joshua Means (J-Dutch), born September 16th, 1987 in Tampa, Florida rose to the occasion in 2011 When he released his debut single "Yayo". "Yayo" gained recognition around the city of Tampa and gave J-Dutch a semi buzz or base of fans.

The fans were shocked at how vivid he could paint a picture and visually take you through the experience as if you the fan was there. Unfortunately "Yayo" could only go so far finding out that the production on the track was purchased by ESPN. Back to the drawing board J-Dutch went.

J-Dutch is known for originality, charisma and rebellion. His music touches on modern topics and also his experiences in life. J-Dutch is mentioned to also have his share of terrible business decisions as he has wasted 8-10 years in management contracts with people of who he said were "pump fakers".

J-Dutch then continued to create later on releasing "The Material" and "So Much Bigger". J-Dutch musical background started at age 9 when he first touched a piano. He learned the piano by the local church pianist by the name of Larry Brooks. After seeing Larry Brooks put together an independent gospel album J-Dutch felt that he could make his own music also.

J-Dutch goes on learning the drums, flute, xylophone and violin. In the mist of learning those instruments J-Dutch also learned how to write songs. Day and night he studied song structure and music literature. By the time J-Dutch turns 11 he discovers how to digitally make beats online without actually having to play those instrumentals physically.

Although East Tampa was not a place for kids his age, J-Dutch took what was going on around him and would write to the instrumentals of his creation.

Leading up to now, J-Dutch is releasing a new project by the name of "Anxious $oul".
This project is produced and written by him.

Big Greg wrote his new single "You Can Have It All" after being inspired by the love of his aunt and uncle. Linking up when they were teenagers and staying married for the better part of another six decades their love a fitting inspiration for such a beautiful and moving song. "You Can Have It All" opens with the shimmering twinkles of percolating piano lines before the beat drops and a very lush and imaginative strain of urban influenced music enters. Hip Hop is not always a genre known for its nuance, complexity and emotional depth but with artists like Manifest Music's Big Greg producing tracks like this, it should be. This sweeping and expansive track is the perfect way to remind yourself about the good things in life and the endless promise of true love. "You Can Have It All" is absolutely beautiful baby making music that will appeal to the ladies and the gentleman with its tight lyrical content, bouncing beat and hypnotic flow. This is head bobbing music, slow dance music, hold her close and never let go music, lovers of the world, take note! "You Can Have It All" is a track off of Big Greg's forthcoming "G4" EP. This EP was inspired by classic artists Nas, Jay-Z, R. Kelly, Fabolous, T.I. and Nelly as well as present contemporaries such as Drake, J. Cole, K. Lamar, Jeremih, Chris Brown, Kanye West and almost everything Young Money. Big Greg has had a tremendous success over the last couple of years having received numerous regional and national awards between 2014 and 2016 including the 2015 Charlotte Hip Hop Artist of the Year Award and 2016 Matador Green Energy Drink Theme Song Winner. Big Greg has taken the opportunity with "G4' to expand his musical palette and expand as a creative artist. "You Can Have It All" really sees this inspired young artist reaching deep to create something truly innovative and memorable. The moment you hear this track you will understand, this is beautiful and emotional hip hop with a pop sensibility.
