Blue Track Is Proud To Announce The Release Of Nelsen Adelard's Sixth Album "Voodou By You"

Blue Track is proud to announce the release of The Nelsen Adelard Band's sixth album "Voodou By You". The title is a lighthearted nod to the crazy things our better halves can seemingly make us do without our knowledge.

The album starts out in true Adelard form with the original "I Need Tonight With You" through five Delta Blues jams to the title track "Voodou By You."

What follows are four more originals reminiscent of the cut back trio approach Adelard took on his previous album, There's even an a cappella type harmonica and drum number that showcases Nelsen's affinity for the original.

Nelsen moved down to the Clearwater, Florida area and hooked up with his old friend and band mate, Jon Puhl. They played together in early incarnations of the NAB back in the 70s. Puhl brought with him a tight rhythm section of Mick Donner on bass and Phil Christman on drums. Nelsen's old friend and west coast band mate, Mark Norris even pops in for a couple tracks on the saxophone.

The new album "Voodou By You" is a smoking example of their combined talents. Excellent performances, great riffs and a no nonsense approach to modern Blues.

Mixed and mastered by Richard Robinson. "Voodou By You" was released March 15th 2015 and is available on iTunes and Amazon.com

Kraftwerk Legend Wolfgang Flür Releases Limited Edition Single In Collaboration With Meat Beat Manifesto's Jack Dangers

Artist: Wolfgang Flür and Jack Dangers
Title: Staying In The Shadow
Format: Seven-inch single, clear vinyl, limited edition of 750 copies
Label: Electronic Sound Music Club
Release date: April 2015

Former Kraftwerk man Wolfgang Flür has collaborated with Jack Dangers from Meat Beat Manifesto for a special limited edition single. The record, released as a seven-inch on clear vinyl with a pressing of just 750 copies, features two mixes of a track called 'Staying In The Shadow', one mix by Wolfgang and the other by Jack. It will be available via the Electronic Sound Music Club, a subscription service recently launched by the Electronic Sound magazine app.

‘Staying In The Shadow’ marks the beginning of a new chapter for Wolfgang Flür. It's his first single for 11 years and he is in the process of putting together his first album since 1996. Wolfgang is best known for his years with Kraftwerk (1973 to 1987), when he made up one quarter of the classic line-up of "the Beatles of electronic music" (Rolling Stone magazine) and played on their most important albums, including ‘Autobahn’, ‘Radio-Activity’, ‘Trans Europe Express’, ‘The Man Machine’ and ‘Computer World’.

Jack Dangers’ ongoing musical project is Meat Beat Manifesto, whose first records in the late 1980s influenced a generation of electronic artists using samplers, including The Prodigy and Future Sound Of London. He moved from the UK to San Francisco in the 1990s. He has worked as a producer/remixer with David Bowie, Depeche Mode, David Byrne and Nine Inch Nails among many others and remains a highly regarded pioneer of electronic music.

Wolfgang and Jack started work on ‘Staying In The Shadow’ last December, shuttling audio files between Düsseldorf and San Francisco before finalising the two mixes in February. The record features heavy use of an EMS 3000 vocoder, a vintage 1970s machine that was also used by Kraftwerk for their signature "robot voice" effect.

The collaboration was initiated by the Electronic Sound magazine app, who brought the pair together with the specific plan of creating a one-off limited edition seven-inch single to mark the launch of the Electronic Sound Music Club. A Kickstarter campaign for the club is currently underway.

On Easter Sunday 2015, The Light Will Shine In The Darkness

Introducing Composer/Pianist Chadwick Himsl and his debut contemporary classical piano solo album "The Light Shines in the Darkness" to be released April 5, 2015. Chadwick has come back to his first love after a long absence from music, putting together an album that has heart. Of special mention is the composition Newtown (in 3 movements). While the name brings to mind a terrible tragedy, far from being depressing or melancholy, and consistent to the theme of this album, we are lifted above it. Light shines out of the darkness and leaves the listener full of hope. In the artist's own words, "After the events of Newtown, I just felt like I needed to do something as a father. I thought of my own three boys with my oldest just a year younger than the kids at Sandy Hook. I thought I may not be able to change the world, but I can honor those kids through my music."

Also of note is the last piece on the album, "A Place Beyond," which was actually written when the composer was in college back in 1995. Chadwick Himsl: When I wrote this piece in college, I was quite happy with it, but I never thought anyone would hear it beyond the walls of the university. Technology has brought me to the place where my dreams of being a composer can become a reality. I am delighted to be able to share this piece with the world, especially because this is a piece I dedicated to my father.

The title track, "The Light Shines in the Darkness," is inspired by the biblical account of Genesis 2-3 and John 1:5: "The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. Then God said, 'Let there be light'; and there was light... "And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." True to the description, the first part of the piece is arguably dark with foreboding, irritable notes. But the darkness is short-lived as light enters in. Strings penetrate the darkness with a single note. The composition ends with a beautiful melody that the artist attributes to his outdoor wind chimes on a windy day.

Chadwick Himsl: I love the imagery of this event and the message it conveys. Things can be completely dark both literally and figuratively, but the tiniest amount of light cannot be stopped. It is a message of hope in a dark world. "For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." 2 Corinthians 4:6.
