Likeblood Breaks Urban Top 50 And Premiere's New Video On MTV Jams

The latest music video from D.C.-bred rap group, Likeblood, "Money Over Here" featuring Bobby V, began its rotation on MTV Jams this past weekend generating a significant amount of buzz on Twitter surrounding the video's debut. It is premiering just as the group breaks into the Top 50, landing at #44 on Mediabase's urban chart last week. After debuting as the #2 most-added urban record earlier this year, Likeblood is continuing their push up the charts and is excited to release their new video to the world.

"The video features a lot of cameos from people who are really doing it big in D.C.," says Yung E. "We just wanted to bring the city together on this one. We feel like D.C. is about to blow and it's time to show people that we have real movement going on here," says Dre Strong. The video was shot in Washington, D.C. at Ibiza Nightclub in late January and was directed by Erica Chamblee and Lindsey Christian, the team behind the recent film, "Jazz in the Diamond District." "We just wanted to have a good time shooting the video. It was great to have Bobby [V] in D.C. and the entire city came out to support," says Mbea Da 1.

Adult Contemporary singer-songwriter Susan Barth has confirmed the March 23rd release of her latest album "Songs From The Suburbs". She notes, "It took me 5 years to record "Songs from the Suburbs." It wasn't at all planned the way the others were. I just woke up one morning with 16 songs and tried to whittle it down when I wrote and recorded the 17th track... which opens this album."

Clever songwriting and arrangement, catchy hooks and well laid out instrumental parts are a feature of this latest album from Susan Barth. The harmonies have been executed with taste. Each track on this album has its own charm. To sum up, the overall approach to Susan's songwriting is quite simple - The delivery of each song leaves the listener with a good feeling despite the actual theme. She delves into fantasy, real life characters and even indulges in some introspection. In other words, Susan draws you in with her songwriting charm.

Barth's songs cross musical genres, going from folk tunes like "Rainbows" to rock songs like "Perfect Storm," even throwing in some pop, which keeps her listeners on their toes in anticipation of what's coming next. The instrumentation on "Songs From The Suburbs" have been effectively arranged to complement Susan's vocal style. Elements of Folk, Jazz, World, and Renaissance have been infused with her retro 70's pop style. As Susan aptly puts it "For better or worse, this album may be the most reflective of me as a person."

Susan's first three CDs captured the attention of the music industry, earning accolades. Her songs have landed in the finals in numerous songwriting contests, including the UK Songwriting Contest, Billboard Songwriting Contest and Unisong Song Contest. Susan was named Runner Up for Songwriter of the Year in 2006 and 2007 by DIY, one of the most respected indie artist networks, which also chose "Wonderland" as the 2005 Runner Up for Album of the Year. This is a video JP DeLaire released in 2008, inspired by Barack Obama's leadership, with the intent to support his race to the White House. Just two years later, the video now has even more significance, detailing all of the things that have changed and all that remains to be done. As a member of "The Peterson Family", Minnesota's First Family Of Music, Jason has learned everything from world renowned musicians such as Prince and Michael Bolton with whom he collaborated extensively. His approach to the music is unique and meaningful. Jason plays the piano and sax, is a soulful vocalist, and writes emotionally deep songs which embrace many styles.

Maryland soul-singer Rachel McDonald made her national debut November, 2009 with the release of her album "The Return of Soul." This soul-infused dance record is sure to make a staggering first impression on the R&B and soul music community. McDonald's sultry voice, rich in tone and emotion, is coupled with the experienced hand of producer Biblical Jones, of Redefined Music. The album spans a wide gamut of urban music styles from straight-up dance beats to smooth, heartfelt ballads to gritty funk, all featuring McDonald's powerhouse vocals.

McDonald's mission is to bring the soul back to music, to eschew the over-commercialization common in today's music, and to just make great music.
