Vert explains his outlook on giving away music for free and the value of it, "selling music is somewhat outdated, so shows are the best source of revenue and exposure is the best way to do this"
His current attention and goals besides releasing his upcoming mixtape are "Exposure, exposure, exposure! Initial exposure is my main focus since this is my first project. Receiving the stamp of approval from DJ Holiday will definitely help with my first goal. The main focus is to really get the name and work out there on as large a scale as possible," he explained.
Vert describes his style of music as mix of 'Lil Wayne and Jeezy. His lyrical style reflects Lil Wayne's free style approach and his beats are similar to Jeezy's bass driven hard thumping signature beats. When asked about what has influenced his music he stated that most of his best song writing has been influenced by everyday life. "Really, my songs are inspired by everyday life. Mostly everyone can relate to going out, partying, and having a good time, and that's mainly what my music, at least at this point, talks about," explains Vert.
Musically Vert explained that he hasn't heard any major comparisons to his style of music but goes on to explain, I have heard that my music sounds like lyricism over trap-inspired beats, as I make sure that all my tracks have as much bass as possible.
Vert plans to continue recording music as a solo artist and growing his buzz into national markets. He has spoken of currently working on his next project "Vert Lymon" in the meantime in both Missouri and Atlanta which he says will certainly be a "banger".
His music will be available in Austin at the upcoming SXSW Music Festival where he will be featured on a Compilation that will be passed to music industry veterans and media contacts exclusively.

"I believe in love, and I believe that one day we all might find that one person that we'll love for eternity. I also adore everyone's covers and hearing everyone's spin on the song. It's special to me in every way."
The song's writers, Christina Perri and David Hodges, will both receive the award, joining the ranks of previous winning songwriters including Adele, Leonard Cohen, and Linda Perry. This also marks David Hodges' second song to receive the Musicnotes.com Song of the Year Award, after previously receiving the award in 2003 for Evanescence's "My Immortal."

L'illon has released her new artistic music video "I Wonder" on Valentine's Day. This video has been specially produced as a filmed artistic sketch piece. In this refreshing approach to video making, the combining of unique drawing with animation, a love adventure unfolds with several stories in different settings and with different couples and several outcomes; much like real life romantic experiences.
The message of this release is the proclamation of love with the song "I Wonder" that ponders and declares that the most essential component of human emotional existence is to love and be loved. It is a perfect ode to the one holiday which pays tribute to this. L'illon knows how to couple her songs with this most intimate theme as a back drop, in other words, with romance, amour, and stirring of the heart.
Additionally, this is the first music video in which L'illon does not appear as her signature self, the animated Warrior Angel, but instead she is behind the scenes observing the story as it unfolds. However, the viewer still feels L'illon's presence with her powerful lyrics that appear throughout the video. One can't help but 'wonder' if L'illon is taking on the role of a matchmaker, the hidden voice of love's lessons, or the innocent angel, Cupid? Either way, this creative love ballad shows L'illon's music to be sexy and as potent as an aphrodisiac.
Watch L'illon's latest video "I Wonder" and feel the love:
Chicago Blues All-Stars is excited to participate in Ernie Ball & ReverbNation's "Play Crossroads" event with Eric Clapton.
Take a listen to the band and read about our achievements. CBAS has topped ReverbNation's Blues charts for Chicago, as well as the USA. It's not a surprise, because over the past 30+ years, CBAS members have played and recorded all around the world, with nearly every major Blues, Rock & Funk artist that matters.
As disciples of Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy & Otis Rush, CBAS is keeping the Blues alive by respecting the deep tradition of the genre, as well as taking the music to places it's never been before. "Killer" Ray Allison & Chicago Slim didn't assemble the most exciting contemporary Blues band in order to just stand there and play a million notes per second, CBAS is all about making fans feel the groove and move whichever way the music takes them.
Thanks for your enthusiastic support!

San Diego - For two years now, Imperial Hustle Entertainment CEO, Defiance, has remained true to his moniker. His online and print publication, The Resource Magazine, has consistently gone to the edge of hip hop, tackling socially and politically relevant issues right along side topical hip hop fare, like music, celebrity interviews and independent artist profiles. Hailing out of San Diego while repping Los Angeles' Inland Empire area, The Resource Magazine pushes the envelope with a controversial range of topics.
In a continuing effort to move beyond established parameters, the magazine publisher is announcing the launch of yet another trailblazing magazine. HHS Magazine makes its debut on March 10, 2013. With Trinidadian beauty Cavel voluptuously gracing the cover, it might seem the new rag is typical eye candy content. But Defiance, loyal to his brand, will present knowledge about the inner workings of the model industry based on key fundamentals for aspiring models.
With The Resource Magazine, Defiance has tackled topics ranging from health issues associated with laboratory vaccinations in children and the prison industrial system's multi-billion dollar organization to the contamination of food by genetic modification. Alongside these topics are interviews with Nappy Roots, Freeway Rick Ross, 40 Glocc of Gunit, Skullgang (of Dipset), Horseshoe Gang (from Crooked I), Kalenna of Diddy Dirty Money (of Bad Boy), Aone from Maybach Music Group, DJ King Assassin, Dj Far, Kokane, and The Outlawz.
A radio host, online author and musician, Defiance originally created The Resource Magazine based on his point of view as an emcee. Offering the raw alternative news that he had been gamed with his whole life, The Resource provides urban intelligence for the independent culture. OG Cuicide, a suicide awareness advocate from Compton, graces the current seventh volume and anniversary issue of The Resource Magazine. He is also the founder and designer of One West clothing and owner of the video company CG Films.
"Ultimately, our vision is for HHS to extend our outreach even further and explore beauty from a wider perspective and more informative dimensions. With the enchanting Cavel gracing our premier cover, we are giving a nod to women of color, a trend that hip hop seems to be moving away from," offers Defiance. Cavel, a native of Trinidad, is one of urban entertainment's hottest models.
Blazing the path as an urban handbook of sorts, The Resource Magazine continues to enlighten with information to arm oneself mentally, while getting educated globally. Get a hold of both the new issues now at http://www.imperialhustle.com
Called "one of the best singers of her generation" by Christine Lavin, New Jersey-based folksinger and jewelry designer Mara Levine has been creating beautiful interpretations of fine traditional and contemporary folk songs for many years. As her January 2013 release, Jewels and Harmony, reveals, Levine has an ear for both new songs and for classics that can be reshaped to sound fresh and new. Layering one harmony line on top of another, she creates rich tapestries of sound and emotion.
Jewels and Harmony was the most played album on folk radio in January and also sported the top two songs "The Dutchman" and "When I Sing With You" -- according to charts compiled by Richard Gillmann from radio playlists submitted to FOLKDJ-L, an electronic discussion group for DJs and others interested in all folk-based music on the radio. Si Kahn lends his seasoned and expressive voice to Levine's moving arrangement of Michael Smith's "The Dutchman" as a duet. Says Smith: "You and Si sound great together, and the interpretation is honest and sincere and tuneful... the cello and guitar and voices filled the space beautifully. I'm proud to be associated with your work." "When I Sing With You," a song that Kahn wrote for the album, features folk harmony trio Gathering Time and singer-songwriter Joe Jencks on harmony vocals.
Building on the success of Mara's Gems, her 2009 debut, Jewels and Harmony features 15 hand-picked songs that reflect changes we experience and some of life's journeys and passages. The change of seasons, with spring inevitably turning towards winter, mirrors both aging and the disintegration and loss of significant relationships. Other songs touch on yearning for meaningful connections that will endure and on themes of hopefulness, rebirth, the support of friends and partners who stand by us, the joy of making music together, and the healing power of music to soothe and keep us connected.
In addition to Kahn and Smith, Levine has drawn her material from popular contemporary songwriters like Bob Franke, Paul Simon and Bill Staines and emerging talents such as Nancy Cassidy, Jud Caswell and Pat Wictor. "Her version of Franke's "Straw Against the Chill" with Jencks and her arrangement of Paul Simon's "Leaves That Are Green" with Gathering Time also have been well-received by folk DJs and appear on the CD.
"Wow! I'm not sure where to start with the accolades for Jewels and Harmony I've methodically played each cut and every song is brilliantly done," writes Jim Fisher, host of "Down Home Folk and Bluegrass" on WGCS-FM in Goshen, Indiana. Sharing similar sentiments, Bill Hahn, co-host of "Traditions" on WFDU-FM in Teaneck, New Jersey, writes: "Jewels and Harmony is one of those recordings where you want to listen to the entire work and then listen once again. Mara Levine's voice jumps out at you with the clarity of a well-tuned chime or bell in the tradition of Judy Collins and Joan Baez. Her selection of songs for this project is truly well-chosen, and the delight of having the amazing guest artists with whom she has surrounded herself is a true treat."
Jewels and Harmony was co-produced by Bob Harris (Johnny Cash, Girlyman, among others). Harris, who toured with Vassar Clements, also plays guitar on 10 of its 15 tracks and helped with arrangements on several songs. A number of other artists on the contemporary folk and bluegrass scene also contributed their talents to this recording. In addition to those already mentioned, these include Jan Alba, Rose Berkowitz, Greg Blake, Brother Sun, Bill "Rusty" Crowell, Caroline Cutroneo, Bill Doerge, KC Groves, John Guth, Loretta Hagen, Chad Hammer, Terry Kitchen, Shannon Lambert-Ryan of RUNA, Andrew Magill, Cheryl Prashker, Terry Rivel, Elaine Romanelli, Dan Schatz, Jeff Scroggins, Tristan Scroggins, Mark Torres, Pat Wictor, and Bob Wright.
Copies of Jewels and Harmony may be purchased online at MaraLevine.com, where selections from the CD, live performance videos and more information on the artist also may be found. Digital downloads may be purchased both from the artist's website and CDBaby.com.
Hip Hop artiste, Five Steez, released an online music video for his song, "Propheticz" last Friday. The track, produced by Inztinkz, who is also featured on its chorus, serves as the intro to the ground-breaking Five Steez debut album, "War for Peace".
The music video, shot and edited by @itslynky, shows both MC's trading bars at night at undisclosed locations somewhere in the Jamaican capital of Kingston. On "Propheticz", Five Steez declares his revolutionary stance and makes listeners know why he is the MC to which everyone must pay attention, while Inztinkz displays his style of "rap calisthenics" over his own haunting boom-bap production.
"This is how I had to set the tone for the album," says Five Steez. "From the title alone, you can tell that this is a very serious project."
Since its August 2012 release, "War for Peace" has received excellent reviews from iTunes as well as some underground Hip Hop blogs and even Reggae journalists in Europe and Jamaica. "This is real music to help people in the struggle find peace." says Five Steez. "It is new millennium boom-bap Hip Hop with soulful production, heavily themed with a lot of commentary, storytelling, introspection and raw lyricism on display."
Since 2010, Five Steez has been making a name for himself among underground Hip Hop fans worldwide through features on various Hip Hop blogs and websites. Despite the fact that local artistes of the genre go largely unrecognized in Jamaica, he is seen as one of the leaders of an emerging Hip Hop movement in Kingston.
"War for Peace" is available at http://www.fivesteez.com, iTunes, Amazon and other online music outlets.
