JES, Shant & Clint Maximus Nominated For Grammy Award For "Hold On" (Fatum Remix)

The Recording Academy has announced the nominees for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards and dance music star JES is thrilled to be in consideration for BEST REMIXED RECORDING, NON-CLASSICAL, for the Fatum remix to her song with Shant & Clint Maximus, "Hold On."

The very first release off of JES' new label Intonenation Records, the nomination comes as no surprise to those who have followed the singer-songwriter's accomplished career from her beginnings as the featured vocalist on tracks with Tiesto, BT, Paul Oakenfold and more to her current reign as label head, DJ and producer.

"I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that has supported "Hold On" this year," says JES. "I really hoped that the debut release on my label Intonenation Records would be something special so receiving this nomination means so much to everyone involved. I think we all felt the song had a unique quality from the start and Chad and Bill from FATUM managed to elevate it to another level with their incredible remix. Thank you all for believing in our dream and having the courage to pursue it."

The DJ and radio support for the Fatum remix was off the charts, seeing play from Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond, ATB, Myon and Shane, Cosmic Gate, Judge Jules, and many others. Fatum gives "A massive thank you to JES, Shant & Clint Maximus for asking us to remix such an awesome record. We've always been huge fans of JES' but we knew this vocal was special, and indeed it was!"

Shant & Clint Maximus "knew the track was a special one when JES wanted to release it on Intonenation Records as its first release. Her vocals were unreal and words cannot describe how powerful, how touching the lyrics are."

The 58th Grammy Awards will be broadcast on CBS on February 15, 2016 at 8/7c.

JES' latest release "Happy" with Austin Leeds & Redhead Roman is out now on Intonenation Records!

World Music Guitarist Lawson Rollins Announces New Album "Infinite Chill (The Remix Sessions)"

World Music guitarist and composer Lawson Rollins announced today the release of his newest album "Infinite Chill (The Remix Sessions)" on September 18, 2015. The album features ten chill-out remix versions of his biggest hits, including a reimagination of his Billboard #1 hit, "Moonlight Samba." Co-produced by renowned Persian-American musician/producer Shahin Shahida, "Infinite Chill (The Remix Sessions)" is a musical East-meets-West, continuing Rollins' exploration into a multi-cultural array of global influences and styles, from bossa nova, samba, and gypsy swing to the modern pulse of electronica, chill-out, and down-tempo grooves.

Of the new album, Rollins shares, "This remix project has given me a refreshing chance to lay back in the groove with my guitar playing, trim back some of the density and multi-layered extravagances of my prior albums, and experience a little bit of musical spaciousness - 'the space between the notes,' as they say. Just like the album cover design conveys, there is as much significance in the 'white space' as the printed space. For the album, I specifically chose songs that would mesh well together and create a cohesive musical experience across the entire album, allowing for more spaciousness, lightness, and fluidity to exist over the still very present rhythmic pulse. My goal was to reinterpret 10 songs from my past releases in a manner that would reveal hidden gems otherwise obscured by wall-to-wall guitar - like the vocals from the iconic Brazilian singer Flora Purim along with contributions from the 16 different musicians featured on these tracks. I recorded new guitar parts with that sensibility in mind, allowing for more balance within the ensemble. It was a freeing process for me and great fun delving into a new, more contemporary musical aesthetic."

Rollins' collaboration with Billboard chart ranked musician/producer Shahin Shahida is not the first of its kind. The two have worked together in the past crafting cross-genre performances with internationally renowned musicians featured throughout all six of Rollins' albums, including collaborations with Grammy Award winners and nominees like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Charlie Bisharat, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, Mads Tolling, Kayhan Kalhor, Horacio Hernandez, Buckethead, and William Aura.

The eclectic, world-fusion sound unique to Rollins' guitar style has landed his solo albums on the Billboard Top 10 World Music Album Sales Chart and the Billboard Top 30 Contemporary Jazz radio charts. His song "Moonlight Samba" from the album "Espirito" made it to #1 on Billboard, and he recently won Best Instrumental Song of the Year in the prestigious USA Songwriting Competition.

In addition to Rollins' worldwide success as a jazz/world/fusion guitarist, his music videos have garnered over 8 million views on YouTube. His videos showcase his lightening fast technical dexterity combined with his knack for fusing rhythm and melody. The video for "The Fire Cadenza" has received over 5 million views alone.

After parting with his Billboard Top 25 guitar duo Young & Rollins which released 4 acclaimed albums by 2006, Rollins relocated from Washington, D.C. to California and debuted his first solo album "Infinita" in 2008 on his own record label Infinita Records, catching the attention of fans and media alike. The title track "Infinita" - featuring vocals from Brazilian chanteuse Flora Purim - immediately rose into the Billboard Top 30 radio charts. From the United States to Australia and everywhere in between, Rollins has been interviewed on countless radio programs, served as a Celebrity Guest DJ on Sirius-XM radio, and been featured in Guitar Player, Acoustic Guitar, and Guitar World magazines as well as a wide range of online outlets.

On September 18, you can pick up a copy of "Infinite Chill (The Remix Sessions)" in any Barnes & Noble store as well as thousands of indie retailers across the country, purchase on Amazon, HDTracks, and iTunes, or stream on every major service including Spotify, Apple Music, and Pandora. A vinyl edition will also be available.

Worldwide Groove Corporation's New EDM Release Is Innovative and Diverse

In one of the most enterprising moves in EDM, Worldwide Groove Corporation are ending their "Year of the Groove" with a sonic bang. Their final installment in the 12 month series is a heterogeneous maxi-single of their new song "Make Me Free". But this isn't your typical remix project where various producers rework track elements from an original release. Four of the 5 completely unique mixes were actually done by the very busy hands of Worldwide Groove Corporation themselves, and the 5th version was programmed by emerging EDM producer Portarius. The only common element between the mixes is the vocal performance by Ellen Tift, songwriter and producer for WGC.

"It can be challenging to reinvent something that you've become so familiar with in one form,” says Kurt Goebel, programmer and producer for Worldwide Groove Corporation. "But early on we felt this song could both exist as an upbeat electronic track, and also at half tempo in a chillout style, and from there we branched off into other interpretations."

Reinvention is something Worldwide Groove Corporation became known for with their reconstructions of well loved jazz standards on their debut downtempo electronic album "Chillodesiac Lounge, vol.1: Fever,” which topped the charts on the XM Chill channel after its release. They also showcased this skill in their imaginative chillout remixes of classic country songs like "Ring of Fire".

Worldwide Groove Corporation's own renditions of "Make Me Free" are the "Black Orchid Deep House Mix", "Hot Azalea Electro Mix", "Water Lily Chillout Mix", and contrastingly the "Sweet Jasmine Acoustic Mix" featuring a unique vocal performance over piano and solo cello. Rounding out the collection, up and coming EDM producer Portarius adds the "Portarius Melodic Dubstep Mix".

"The Year of the Groove has been a monumental challenge for us," says Ellen Tift. "We've been constantly busy, always preparing the next release and promoting the last one on top of our regular music production work we do for clients, so I feel a tremendous sense of both accomplishment and relief to be at this point." As well they should. In all, Worldwide Groove Corporation put out 22 new tracks in the Year of the Groove, much to the delight of their growing fan base. "It's been a satisfyling labor of love," says Tift. "I'd do it all again in a heartbeat."

REVIEW BY CELEBRITY NEWS: "Love Police 'LIVE'" By Cutting Edge

It has been almost 20 years since I have heard a kick-ass party track like "Love Police". From the moment the band kicks in, the audience is pumped and the party has begun. You can hear the interaction between the band and the audience and it keeps you pumped from start to finish. The thing that sets Cutting Edge apart from the other bands is not only did the original version of "Love Police" hit the top 20 about 12 years ago, but two dances remixes by the band and remixers Giuseppe D. and Ricky Ric also charted. The band released the original version of the song and before it moved off the chart, released the Giuseppe D. remix and then prior it moving off the chart, released the remix by Ricky Ric. "Love Police' was on the charts for almost a full year. Now, 12 years later, the band releases the new live version of "Love Police" that captures the excitement of a Cutting Edge concert. The live version of "Love Police" and the whole new live album ("Cutting Edge Released....LIVE!) takes you right into the party of a Cutting Edge concert that is non-stop excitement. Just when you think the band has peaked and is reaching the end of the song, "Love Police"; Cutting Edge explodes into the Ricky Ric dance remix and the party continues nonstop. From rock to dance, I don't really know of any other bands that could have pulled this off and Cutting Edge does it with ease. As my friend DJ Booker says, "He does not know of any other indie band in the world who can get on the same stage as Cutting Edge; they are the best and this live album catches it all". You can capture the whole live experience of a Cutting Edge concert and all their hit songs, including "Love Police" right from your own living room. The Cutting Edge live track of "Love Police" is something everyone should give a listen to, but by far the new album "Cutting Edge Released....LIVE!" is the best live album I have ever heard from any indie band. Very few major artists have pulled of the recording of a live concert like Cutting Edge and it EXPLODES IN YOUR FACE. I do not know of any other 'indie' band that can do a live album that features hit songs that have charted; from last year's "Without You" and "If The Walls Could Talk" which charted on the Billboard Hot Single Sales Charts, to the hit songs "Your Love Is My Oxygen", "Judas of D.C." and of course, "Love Police", it is all there for the Cutting Edge experience. Cutting Edge Released....LIVE" is the ultimate live album that will keep you glued to the headphones for hours on end. Another writer here is doing a review of the opening track "It's Time" and he says, "It's ten thumbs up all the way". Five Stars out of Five on this one! The album "Cutting Edge Released....LIVE" and the song "Love Police" can be found at 101distribution.com or on iTunes - Steve Bjork is a freelance writer for Celebrity News and various other entertainment magazines.

2009 American Hits Re-Recorded With A Latin Groove

With Latin inspired music having an ever growing influence on the pop scene over the last few years, it is definitely about time for a record like this one to come along...

'Top Hits - Latin Style 2009' is a selection of the best cover songs you will hear anywhere this year, all remixed with a spicy Latino twist. On the album you will find hits originally recorded by the likes of Leona Lewis, Rihanna, Natasha Bedingfield and Jason Mraz but as you have never heard them before.

Using a 'poppier' take on the reggaeton style that has swept the world into a dancing frenzy as his main source of inspiration, producer and arranger Pete Surdoval has created a record that will get the kids of the global village shaking their stuff. This is the best in American music, but with a distinctly Latin flavor.

alienplanetmusic.com/TheLatinSunSampler.mp3

The Grammy-Award winning Surdoval, who has worked with legends like Cat Stevens, Jimmy Cliff, Latoya Jackson, and Public Enemy, says he wanted to make a record full of positive pop songs that would remind him of the days watching his parents rumba around the living room.

The songs were performed by a collection of exciting musicians called 'The Latin Sun'. And the reaction to their take on these pop recordings has already made waves all over the world.

Whether it's a unique new angle of Jason Mraz's smash hit, 'I'm Yours' or the crazed Latin mash-up of Estelle's 'American Boy', there will be something here for all music lovers. The inventive re-imagining of Shontelle's summer classic, 'T-Shirt', has already seen it leap to the top of the bestseller's charts on Amazon.

But it's just the start. The sound of this Latin-pop fusion - sweeter and more playful than reggaeton, but harder edged than much of the pop music world - will no doubt be making dancefloors rock all through 2009. And beyond.

The Latin Sun have just given pop music one giant Tequila slammer. So grab your dancing shoes because they've started one hell of a party!

'Top Hits - Latin Style 2009', is available to buy now from iTunes, Amazon and all top online retailers. Do not miss out...

Music Is Evolving As MP3 Turns Fully Interactive With The TronMe Software, From 3Dsolar

These tracks will be converted using the TronMe software, from 3Dsolar and will release the potential for 15 million new remixes of each song.

TronMe (www.tronme.com) is downloadable software that allows you to control and remix your favorite music and record your own interactive visual music video to go with it. This can then be shared with the world via YouTube, broadcast via Skype or MSN, or added onto Facebook or MySpace via a widget. If you’re voted one of the most accomplished videos then you can win prizes and rewards such as free tracks or tools to use on your player.

The beta software is going from strength to strength, clocking up a hundred new users daily and, with new technology, all these users will soon be able to convert their favorite mp3 tracks into an interactive format. This new version of the track, known as .IVS, can then be used on the TronMe player.

Patrick Levy Rosenthal 3D Solar CEO said, “We expect to convert around 10 million mp3 tracks into interactive format, this will lead to a major revolution in the way people enjoy music. Each converted track has the potential for around 15 million new remixes - that's a lot of new versions for a single file roughly the same size and price as the mp3.”

Almost any track can be converted easily with the help of the player and, as more tracks are converted, the choice of songs will grow quickly.

The last release of the player allows an auto play function to operate. This turns the TronMe player into a home music system. Once the player is open, the user doesn’t need to press anything, their music plays automatically and the software will remix the tracks based on the information analyzed from the webcam with stunning visual effects. Control can be regained at any time, to select new instruments or parts, but it is not necessary. Users can move to the music and see what happens - then share it online.

Interactivity is the future of music.
