Hydra Management artist Conceptz and their Management Team are still basking in the glow of the fact that their last single "Love Jones" reached #17 on the Billboard Charts. The video for "Love Jones" is in rotation on Aspire, Centric, Fuze, Video City TV, Bongo Boy TV and BBC. This is a huge accomplishment for independent emerging artists with no major record company or label ties. However what is even more impressive is that they have done it again!
The data for the week of July 20th 2015 Billboard Charts have been tallied and Conceptz new single "Funky 5" feat MelodiQ has hit the charts at #30. The video for "Funky 5" debut on Trilla TV on Friday July 17th. The video received over 10,000 views in less than 24 hours!
"Funky 5" was shot in Harlem NYC at the world famous Alahambra Ballroom. The video is a throwback to the old days of big budget videos with an excellent cast featuring video staples Lai Cha, Mimi Ubarra, and Marquita Shaw. The single is currently moving on iTunes and the Radio and Television campaigns kick off July 20th 2015. Hydra Management fully expects the "Funky 5" video to out perform "Love Jones" which went Platinum on Trilla TV.
None the less, neither Conceptz or Hydra Management will be resting on their past laurels. They have just finished their next single "Multiply" which is scheduled to release late August or Early September. Plans for the video are underway.
