Jim Peterik's "The Songs" Tour Coming To Music City - Grammy-Winning Songwriter Headlining City Winery Nashville November 22

Multi-platinum, Grammy winning singer-songwriter Jim Peterik, announced today he will be performing "The Songs" Tour on Tuesday, November 22nd 8pm at City Winery Nashville.

Peterik is one of America's most prolific songwriters with over 35 of his penned songs having appeared on the Billboard Pop chart. The long list of artists who have covered his compositions includes Reba McEntire, Paul Anka, Larry Gatlin, Gloria Gaynor, Tony Orlando, Blackhawk, and The Outlaws.

Peterik is currently touring promoting his latest album, "The Songs" which is an amazing and unique career retrospective collection of four decades of his most popular hits creatively reimagined acoustically. Peterik recorded "The Songs" in Nashville working with Grammy nominated producer Fred Mollin (JD Souther, America, Kris Kristofferson, Jimmy Webb). This intimate acoustic show format Jim is performing on the road features upright bass, fiddle, dobro, banjo and other instruments featured on "The Songs" album - complete with Jim sharing the stories behind his songs.

"Recording in Nashville at the legendary Sound Emporium with some of the finest musicians in Music City is something I will never forget," says Jim Peterik. "Producer Fred Mollin helped me to look at my biggest songs in a whole new light. The tracks, recorded live, had a natural vibe to them that I had never before achieved. Now I'm having a blast recreating that feeling in live shows."

Jim Peterik has an astonishingly successful four-decade songwriting career which began with his first Billboard hit "Vehicle" with his band Ides of March to his triple platinum "Eye of the Tiger", the title song from Sylvester Stallone's box office hit "Rocky III". Multiple hit songs include "The Search Is Over", "High on You" and another film theme song "Burning Heart" for "Rocky IV".

Peterik recently collaborated with Brian Wilson for the Beach Boy's big reunion CD and tour, "That's Why God Made The Radio". Other notable collaborations include Sammy Hagar's "Heavy Metal", the main title of the sci-fi animation.

Peterik has co-written songs with some of the most famous bands and artists in rock-and-roll, including .38 Special ("Rockin' Into the Night", "Caught Up In You", "Hold On Loosely"), The Doobie Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Cheap Trick.
