Black Shoe Records/Indie Extreme recording artist Matt Brouwer announces his 2009 "Love Can Save a Life Tour". Inspired by the response to the first single Beautiful Now from his new release Where's Our Revolution produced by Grammy award-winning producer, Michael Omartian, the tour will challenge and focus attention on the call to respond to the needs within our own communities in North America as well as those around the world. The tour will be sponsored by World Vision and offers practical ways to share love with people in desperate need.
Matt recently signed with literary agency, Credo Communications, out of Grand Rapids, MI. Matt will be staying close to home during the first couple of months of 2009, performing at several songwriter venues across Texas such as Dosey Doe Coffee House in The Woodlands and The Bugle Boy in La Grange, while he works on the basics for his first book.
The second single Come Back Around from the album Where's Our Revolution has been generating a lot of buzz and has been a favorite both during radio/TV interviews and at concerts this past year. The song is a loving invitation to a generation disillusioned and let down by their heroes to find hope and reconciliation in the shared experience and rediscovering faith. "The song 'Come Back Around' I think, speaks for a lot of people on the fringes who feel disillusioned by life, culture, and faith...it's a simple sentiment to acknowledge how a lot of us feel and an invitation to allow ones self to be re-embraced by God's love." stated Brouwer.
Brouwer logged over 25,000 touring miles throughout his Where's Our Revolution 2008 Tour. Matt performed for audiences totaling over 15,000 through Mississippi, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon, Colorado, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. He plans to revisit many of the same regions while expanding into new territory with dates already on the books in Austin, TX, Jacksonville, FL, Brevard, NC, Hume Lake, CA and Lincoln, NE.
Brouwer has previously landed hits on the Billboard CCM records chart (I Shall Believe); CCM CHR chart (Water, Sanity); and the New Music Weekly Hot 100, AC, Indie AC, and Top 40 charts (Surrender). Where's Our Revolution, marks a huge step forward for Brouwer, being hailed by critics as an artistic and production triumph. The success of Beautiful Now, #1 on CRW Global AC and CHR charts and #1 on CanCon AC chart, Top 60 CRW Signature CHR chart points to a very successful run as the album is overflowing with a bevy of radio friendly pop singles.
"It's an honor working with Matt and his independent label, Black Shoe Records," said Indie Extreme CEO Kathy Douglas. "The Where's Our Revolution CD has been a result of several years of hard work and growth in Matt, both as a writer and musician. He is a unique individual with a clear yet gently confrontational message to his generation, one of love, hope and authenticity."
