Pointe Blank formed nearly a decade ago in 2003. After a two year break and two line up changes, the group has re-emerged with new members and their 3rd full length release, Abstraction.

By honing a mix of introspective pop and anthemic rock, the sextet has catapulted itself onto stages in other continents including Australia, where they played to crowds of over 10,000. They have also at one of Atlanta's largest venues, Cobb Center and have shared the stage with Mainstream Christian Alternative Rockers, EleventySeven and Mainstay.

Their newest release, "Abstraction" combines pop sensibilities with alt-rock chords and dance-infused beats. They consider it to be their greatest musical accomplishment to date. Lead singer Nicole Sweet comments, "We had amazing leadership and guidance throughout the entire songwriting and recording process. We have achieved new heights within our craft and broadened our skills. To have achieved this album is truly our greatest accomplishment. Our music is being heard on RadioAirplay and we are thrilled that our listeners have given us such a great response!"

Pointe Blank describes their sound as as having similarities to several artists such as The Killers, Coldplay, U2, States and The Pretenders. Their influences are easily recognized in their music, including Switchfoot, Coldplay, Pat Benatar, and Muse. Lyrically, their songs reflect an introspective journey to search for meaning. "Philosophical questions about life, our search for meaning, and critiques of consumerism and statism influence our writing,拻 Chris Sweet (Lead Guitar) stated. Nicole goes on to say, "There is something beautiful when you reach within the hidden depth of your soul and are able to write it down and put it to music. The honesty that is portrayed to the listener is what I hope is relatable in our music."

"This Could Be (Red Sun Rising)" is the first single from Abstraction to be released as a video with it being available for viewers on their official Youtube channel at: http://www.youtube.com/pointeblankband

Their current goals include booking 8-10 gigs, selling their music and increasing their fan base through their social media profiles. "The main focus is to really get the name and work out there on as large a scale as possible," lead singer, Nicole Sweet explained.
