She will donate her track, "Such A Lady" to the Compilation. Danielle Lyndsay, although relatively new to the music industry comes from a family of music veterans. Lyndsay's father, Derrick Ward is a member of the legendary DC GoGo Band, Trouble Funk and has also sung back up for a few big name artists, including Patti Labelle. Growing up in a musical family, Danielle absorbed her talents naturally and has been gaining momentum since releasing her single, "Such A Lady" in February 2012. With its radio friendly production and "Sasha Fierce" lyrical hooks proclaiming her independence, it's reminiscent of a song you could easily imagine Beyonce singing and being played by DJ's across the globe.
Lyndsay's latest release, the Genesis EP, includes her newest single, "X-Tacy", which is a smooth, down-tempo love song with Middle-Eastern/Moroccan inspired drumming that quickly lures in the listener.
Lyndsay's rising popularity with her first single, "Such A Lady" has earned her high accolades and continuous airplay on multiple popular internet radio stations, including PaladinRadio, where it is currently in high rotation.
In addition to being a singer and a dancer, she is also a choreographer and puts on fully choreographed shows during her live performances. Her live performances are often compared to the likes of Janet Jackson, Beyonce and Brittany Spears.
Music critics have described her style of music as mix of Urban Pop and Rock influences. Lyndsay influences are diverse and range from Michael Jackson to Led Zeppelin and Diana Ross to Guns N Roses-which is exactly what makes her music a unique blend of urban pop sensibilities with gritty rock swag.
When asked about what has influenced her lyrics she cited relationships as the biggest factor. "Past relationships, new love interests, growth as an adult, and friendships inspire my song-writing," Lyndsay commented.
Lyndsay plans to continue recording in 2013, including a full length album while touring and promoting her current release, The Genesis EP.
