Eagles Hit Songwriter Jack Tempchin Announces New 'Peaceful Easy Feeling Cabernet Sauvignon'


Legendary multi-platinum songwriter JACK TEMPCHIN will release his new 'Peaceful Easy Feeling Cabernet Sauvignon' in association with South Coast Winery of Temecula, CA, on April 26th.



Jack Tempchin's "Peaceful Easy Feeling" was originally released as a single by the Eagles on December 1st, 1972. To commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the famous song, the Mayor of San Diego, CA Officially Proclaimed 12/1 to be "Peaceful Easy Feeling Day" in America抯 Finest City. To further celebrate the Southern California song, Jack Tempchin has partnered with South Coast Winery to release a new 'Peaceful Easy Feeling Cabernet Sauvignon'.



South Coast Winery will make the new wine available worldwide through their international mail order site and is reaching out to major U.S. retail outlets. Mr. Tempchin抯 wife, Southern California artist Sheryl Tempchin, has allowed for use of her 慓uitar and Bird� painting, providing colorful art for the wine抯 label.



Jack Tempchin brings his 慞eaceful Easy Feeling 40th Anniversary Tour� to Northern California in April, playing venues in Berkeley, Los Altos, Sebastopol and Santa Cruz. Demand for Mr. Tempchin has increased due to newly minted momentum from his featured interviews in the rock documentary THE HISTORY OF THE EAGLES, a DVD set produced by Academy Award-winner Alex Gibney that made it's world premiere on Showtime in February.

Jack Tempchin was originally signed by Clive Davis as a member of the Funky Kings to Arista Records with Jules Shear. Johnny Rivers sang Tempchin's first Top 10 hit "Slow Dancing (Swayin to the Music)". Tempchin would go on to co-write over a dozen hits with Glenn Frey for Frey's solo career, including "Smugglers Blues" and "You Belong To The City" for the original MIAMI VICE TV show. Both songs were sampled by multi-platinum rappers Coolio and Jay-Z (respectively). Tempchin and Frey also composed the theme song for THELMA AND LOUISE entitled, "Part Of Me, Part Of You".
