The Underground is back in March with its next showcase of bands with female guitarists or bassists. The line up in March also includes the founder of The Underground Chris B and her own band “Thinking Out Loud” playing a brand of ‘sax-pop-rock” plus Logo whose future retro sound has found their debut CD climbing up the HMV charts along with newcomer Aileen Alonzo whose voice has been described angelic and moving.
This is the first time The Underground has hosted a showcase at Skylark Lounge and we promise you lots of great music and atmosphere.
And this time, not only does the ticket guarantee entry and an Asahi beer, there will be a lucky draw and one winner will walk away with TWO tickets to Slash live in concert on
22nd March. Nice one!

Aileen Alonzo
Being holed up in her cave in the island gave her time to think about centipedes, goddesses, the joys of broken glass and various other stuff. Now, she wants to share these stories with everyone and she would really love it if they move you in some way. She would also love to own a coffee-loving panda. Or not.
Logo
Logo are James Woolf, Yanyan Pang and Chris Dundon, they have released their debut album “Illegal Brain” earlier this year, which showcases the band’s “future-retro” sound entwined lyrically with tales of the city’s demi-monde.

Thinking Out Loud
“Probably Hong Kong ’s best band”, Thinking Out Loud is a creative alt.pop-rock cross-cultural flambĂ© with spicy kick and tingly aftertaste.
Formed in 2001, the revolving door has finally slowed and the renewed lineup is feeling fresh and sounding solid. Fronted by rock goddess Chris B and guitar maestro Angus, new bassist Will pushes the boundaries of TOL’s music and new drummer Jon manhandles the drums whilst encouraging Chris B’s lyrical exploration.
The punchy sax and lyrical expectorations of Mysterious Mr B are the icing atop this tasty musical cake. Be there for their first performance in 2011.
