Sonicbids, the website that helps bands discover and book gigs, today announces a partnership with Eurosonic Noorderslag, Europe's main conference and showcase festival, to create a new program called EuroSonicbids. EuroSonicbids is a joint venture that financially rewards European festivals to book emerging European talent. This program will create as many as 800 slots across 400 festivals throughout Europe and will be dedicated to the bands playing at Eurosonic Noorderslag 2011, fostering the growth of independent artists in the European music industry.

EuroSonicbids incentivizes European talent buyers to select bands that are involved in the program to play at their festivals. For the first band they choose through EuroSonicbids, they receive €500 and talent buyers who open a new gig listing on the Sonicbids site and book a second band will receive an additional €1,000. Festivals will be strongly encouraged to use these funds to pay the artists that are selected.
