Gonzalez Y Gonzalez Selected As The Official Bar Of Nightmare: Superstitions, NYC's Most Horrifying Haunted House

Gonzalez y Gonzalez, one of downtown Manhattan's hottest destinations, has been selected as the "Official Bar" for Nightmare: Superstitions, New York’s Most Horrifying Haunted House. This is the second year that Gonzalez y Gonzalez partners with Nightmare - a unique, fully immersive haunted house experience. The attraction runs from September 24 through November 6 at the NoHo Event Center. Frightened Nightmare: Superstitions ticketholders will be able to calm their nerves afterwards with an exclusive two-for-one margarita drink special at the Mexican restaurant, bar & Salsa club.

Known for its live Salsa nights (Thursdays through Saturdays), Gonzalez y Gonzalez has been expanding its format to include monthly comedy nights, networking events (Digital Music NY) and a Latino art exhibition. It will be an official CMJ showcase venue on October 20th in collaboration with MusicDish, RocketHUB and Women in Music, as well as hosting a showcase benefitting breast cancer with Hooray For Boobies! on October 24th.

Nightmare, AOL Cityguide's No. 1 rated haunted attraction in New York City, is celebrating its 7th Anniversary year. Given the anniversary and the mystique and superstitious implications behind the number 7 (the number seven has been regarded with superstitious awe for centuries) this year’s theme will be Superstitions. Under the direction of Creator and Artistic Director Timothy Haskell, Nightmare: Superstitions confronts the psychology of fear and forces participants into breaking a superstition only to suffer the immediate and horrible consequences.

Located steps away from SoHo and great shopping, Gonzalez y Gonzalez serves Mexican cuisine in a festive downtown location. NYC's longest bar is always buzzing with it's famous margarita and draft beer Happy Hour specials. Thursdays through Saturdays, Gonzalez features performances from the best local Salsa bands, DJs spinning Latin music hits and free Salsa dancing lessons; with no cover at the door. The establishment also hosts a monthly comedy night that brings together five stand-up comics for an evening of great laughs. Open since 1989, Gonzalez y Gonzalez has become a landmark destination for a diverse tri-state area community. Come in to enjoy delicious Mexican food, refreshing drinks, grooving salsa dancing and Latino culture.
