WordPress.com Adds Support For ThingLink Interactive Images And Videos

ThingLink is pleased to announce that its interactive images and videos are now supported on WordPress.com. When users paste a ThingLink URL into the WP editor, WordPress.com automatically converts the link into an interactive media unit. ThingLink is also supported for WordPress.org users.

ThingLink empowers bloggers to create more engaging posts by adding an additional interactive layer to photos and videos. When a reader moves their mouse over image or video content, they can explore links with additional information, listen to songs, watch videos, or answer polls.

"We're delighted that millions of WordPress.com users and publishers can now tell richer, more engaging stories using ThingLink interactive media," says ThingLink founder and CEO Ulla Engeström.

Supporting interactive images and video add value to WordPress bloggers:

Engagement: ThingLink multiplies the time spent on posts and allow readers explore content from all over the web without leaving the blog.

Better user experience: Interactive elements delight readers with additional details. A catalog image, a map or a music video can now have embedded links, close-ups, notes, and related web content accessible right from the visuals.

Increased conversion through visual media: ThingLink drives commerce and conversion. Sellers on eBay, Amazon, Etsy, and Shopify can drive sales through interactive image collages, catalogs and shoppable videos.
