Nashville, TN, USA September 2014 - Worldwide Groove Corporation, Nashville’s electronic music power duo, have very strong opinions about the lack of transparency with genetically modified ingredients in the American food supply, and they haven’t held any punches in their newest release “The Legend of the Fall”. Steeped in metaphor, this dark and haunting track depicts the fall of mankind at the hands of lunatics who refuse to rectify their “impunity, collusion, and control”.

“This affects everyone. Whether you’re gay or straight, Christian or Muslim, Conservative or Liberal... we ALL eat, so this is an issue that truly concerns every single person,” says Ellen Tift, songwriter and arranger for Worldwide Groove Corporation. “This song is one way I can creatively channel my indignation over the situation and hopefully increase public awareness about what we are all consuming unawares.”

When asked what began such intense outrage over this topic, Ellen named the two most influential documentaries as “Food, Inc.” and “Genetic Roulette” as well as countless articles and studies about the health risks associated with consuming genetically modified foods and the corruption in the food industry. She encourages anyone who cares about what they put into their and their family’s bodies to educate themselves and vote with their purchases at grocery stores and restaurants.

“Ellen is very passionate about this issue, as am I, and we felt that the topic matter justified a darker more gritty production approach for this track,” said Kurt Goebel, programmer and producer for Worldwide Groove Corporation. “Although it’s not our typical approach, we both agreed that a dubstep bassline was appropriate for this. We balanced it out with brighter synths up high to keep up the energy.”

“The Legend of the Fall” is the third release in Worldwide Groove Corporation’s “Year of the Groove” which began in July of 2014. WGC have publicly announced that they will put out one new electronic chillout music release a month for at least a year. Their original songs offer up individual instrumental stems for remixers, which are often offered as a free download to mailing list members.
