Phil Spector's wife Rachelle recently debuted the single, "P.S. I Love You," and premiered the song's video on Rolling Stone. She is putting the finishing touches on an EP based on love letters between the couple sent while Phil has been incarcerated.
If "P.S. I Love You" - co-written and produced by Chris Seefried (Fitz and The Tantrums) - sounds reminiscent of Phil抯 hit song, "To Know Him Is To Love Him," it should. Rachelle always wanted to do a spin off of that song for Phil, as a way to pay homage to him, hence the idea and sonic inspiration for this song. "P.S. I Love You" will be included on Rachelle抯 upcoming EP later this spring, along with 5 other new songs, each of which was mono recorded in Phil's signature style. Rachelle is also working on a musical about the life of Phil Spector.
With the new movie Phil Spector, staring Al Pacino and directed by David Mamet, recently premiering on HBO, a lot of attention is obviously on the Spectors. Rachelle hopes that this new project will continue to alter people's perceptions of her husband.
