Call For Entries: RiffRumble "Monster" Song Contest With Up To $5600 In Prizes For Songs Made With RiffWorks

Sonoma Wire Works announces RiffRumble™ 13, a "Monster themed" song contest for RiffWorks™ recording software users. Entries will be accepted October 8 - 21, 2008. Contestants worldwide will record songs on their own, or team up into virtual bands of two to four musicians, and compete for $5600 in prizes. The celebrity guest judge is Todd Rundgren, who used RiffWorks to record his latest CD, Arena. RiffRumble 13 takes place on RiffWorld.com, the online music collaboration and song posting community for RiffWorks users. No purchase necessary (RiffWorks T4 free recording software may be used). First Prize (Todd Rundgren’s Choice Category): First prize goes to the musician who creates Todd Rundgren's favorite song that he will choose from a list of the top 5 songs nominated by contestants. If the song is a collaboration, the winner will be the person who began the collaboration. Prizes include a Schecter C-1 electric guitar upgraded with a pair of Seymour Duncan AHB-1 Blackouts humbuckers.

Second Prize (Contestants Choice Category): Up to 4 musicians will receive an IK Multimedia prize pack that includes AmpliTube® 2, T-RackS®, and Classik Studio Reverb downloads. The song that receives the most votes from contestants wins this category. If the winning song is a solo work, then one person will win. If the winning song is a collaboration, then each collaborator wins.

Third Prize (Public Vote Category): Up to 4 musicians who use RiffWorks to create the song that wins the public vote category will win 3 RiffWorks InstantDrummer Sessions by Sonic Reality plus Recording Magazines.
