After locating to Orlando, he was mentored in the art of the Disc Jockey by a seasoned friend he was introduced to in 1998. This friend taught him the ropes in the woodshed for six months teaching him the necessary skills he needed to help him to secure a residency at Club 600 North in Daytona Beach and the rest as they say, is history...

Let me introduce you to a pulsating piece of up to date EDM.' This guy knows what's hot and current and makes no mistake letting you know that he does! Azores Islands are one of the World’s Most Unique Travel Destinations according to Forbes Magazine, and the hometown of the rising EDM DJ SOUZA. Many believes in Azores you can find the lost remains of Atlantis, all that vibe and all the mist of the volcanic activity inspired SOUZA to release his hot new single "Come Back to You" with the north american singer Thomas Daniel.

The recordings and production of "Come Back to You" was made between Azores and the United Sates. The result got SOUZA very happy with his track and he said "the track was written thinking of the amazing Azores Islands in the middle of Atlantic Ocean and also the feeling of missing this land when you have to fly out. The lyrics reflects exactly that and also Thomas Daniel delivered an awesome performance".

SOUZA has been around since 2011 and for the last six years SOUZA has been DJing and honing in on his craft, taking audio engineering courses in Lisbon and in Amsterdam at SAE Institute. SOUZA produces an array of genres within EDM, making him a multi-talented and coveted DJ in the Azores Islands where he resides. All his work was recognized recently by his homeland City Hall Mayor, and to SOUZA was granted the Medal of Honor in the category of Youth and Culture.

Unlike many DJs in this day and age, he prides himself on making his fans feel welcome in his live sets. Playing in festivals and clubs around Portugal, The Netherlands and Spain, he had already opened for Top 100 DJMag dj’s like Porter Robinson, Wolfpack or Diego Miranda.

The Hot#10 combines the top most single song plays of ten tracks playing over the HNA Network, 24/7 and scheduled shows. Independent artists worldwide whose songs that develop a following of dedicated listens, fans, and votes as song plays, in social media, on demand, digital downloads, and streaming activity gages. State of art systems in place at HNA include data derived from Cirrus Networks, Facebook, Twitter, and other applicable sites. All the Network's charts basically use the same formula to find what’s bursting onto the music hierarchy of independent music world.

How do we come to the numbers? Hot#10 songs chart is selected based on highest scoring songs at any time play during given month. The Hottest#1 chart looks for highest number of plays in each musical specific genre selecting top ones of each, and the highest of all wins the #1 spot.

Twenty Five Radio Stations Add 'Triptych. Shulgin's Songbook' In February

As a result of AirPlay Direct's selection of Russian Composer Alexander Shulgin as their Marquee Artist for the month of February, twenty five radio programmers and DJs downloaded tracks from the 3-album compilation "Triptych. Shulgin's Songbook" for airplay in over eight states and eight nations in three different continents. The jazz compilation, being released by Familia Entertainment, was initially made available to broadcasters/webcasters through AirPlay Direct in anticipation of its distribution to major online retailers through The Orchard in March.

Alexander Shulgin is a leading executive in the new Russian music industry, having worked with such iconic artists as Valeria, Mumiy Troll, Dima Malikov, Gruppa.fm and many others.
