MusicDishTV: St. Madness - The Anti-SuperHero

Advance from the ST. MADNESS album release "SAINTANIC". Filmed and produced for St. Madness by: Christian Satan, Evil Me Productions. www.stmadness.com

"In this video, St. Madness rock out while old black and white news footage is intertwined with their playing. Clips of war and violence complement the song's prophetic lyrics. The video's conclusion is one not to be missed - very fitting for this time period." - MusicDishTV

Matt Brouwer Announces 2009 'Love Can Save A Life Tour' Plans

Black Shoe Records/Indie Extreme recording artist Matt Brouwer announces his 2009 "Love Can Save a Life Tour". Inspired by the response to the first single Beautiful Now from his new release Where's Our Revolution produced by Grammy award-winning producer, Michael Omartian, the tour will challenge and focus attention on the call to respond to the needs within our own communities in North America as well as those around the world. The tour will be sponsored by World Vision and offers practical ways to share love with people in desperate need.

Matt recently signed with literary agency, Credo Communications, out of Grand Rapids, MI. Matt will be staying close to home during the first couple of months of 2009, performing at several songwriter venues across Texas such as Dosey Doe Coffee House in The Woodlands and The Bugle Boy in La Grange, while he works on the basics for his first book.

The second single Come Back Around from the album Where's Our Revolution has been generating a lot of buzz and has been a favorite both during radio/TV interviews and at concerts this past year. The song is a loving invitation to a generation disillusioned and let down by their heroes to find hope and reconciliation in the shared experience and rediscovering faith. "The song 'Come Back Around' I think, speaks for a lot of people on the fringes who feel disillusioned by life, culture, and faith...it's a simple sentiment to acknowledge how a lot of us feel and an invitation to allow ones self to be re-embraced by God's love." stated Brouwer.

Brouwer logged over 25,000 touring miles throughout his Where's Our Revolution 2008 Tour. Matt performed for audiences totaling over 15,000 through Mississippi, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon, Colorado, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. He plans to revisit many of the same regions while expanding into new territory with dates already on the books in Austin, TX, Jacksonville, FL, Brevard, NC, Hume Lake, CA and Lincoln, NE.

Brouwer has previously landed hits on the Billboard CCM records chart (I Shall Believe); CCM CHR chart (Water, Sanity); and the New Music Weekly Hot 100, AC, Indie AC, and Top 40 charts (Surrender). Where's Our Revolution, marks a huge step forward for Brouwer, being hailed by critics as an artistic and production triumph. The success of Beautiful Now, #1 on CRW Global AC and CHR charts and #1 on CanCon AC chart, Top 60 CRW Signature CHR chart points to a very successful run as the album is overflowing with a bevy of radio friendly pop singles.

"It's an honor working with Matt and his independent label, Black Shoe Records," said Indie Extreme CEO Kathy Douglas. "The Where's Our Revolution CD has been a result of several years of hard work and growth in Matt, both as a writer and musician. He is a unique individual with a clear yet gently confrontational message to his generation, one of love, hope and authenticity."

Mysterious Catman Cohen Urges America To DREAM Again

In honor of the upcoming presidential Inauguration, coinciding with Martin Luther King Day, Catman Cohen has unveiled his new song, I HAD A DREAM, the finale to his third CD....How I Want to Dream: the Catman Chronicles 3... scheduled for February release.

"I wrote 'I HAD A DREAM' at a time when I felt hopeful about the nation, although during these troubled times, it is difficult to maintain a sense of optimism, " Catman Cohen stated. "This has been a tough year for so many people and if this song serves to raise the collective spirit, then that would bring me tremendous satisfaction."

"I wish the incoming President much good luck in rectifying the rampant corruption, moral hazard, venality, cronyism, and cynicism that has spread through the highest echelons of the Establishment. America can be great again, but only through the rediscovery and revival of long abandoned priorities that formed the foundation of the nation's best virtues."

"Finally, I wish everybody a Happy New Year."

Produced and Arranged by James Lum, I HAD A DREAM features special vocal performances by Christopher Spinks, Annette Lum, Justin Lunsford, Jaclyn Beardsley, and anonymous Friends of The Catman Project.

The new song may be sampled at the MySpace site of Catman Cohen:

'I HAD A DREAM' will be made available for purchase on iTunes and a large variety of similar download sites in late February.

I HAD A DREAM

A great man had a dream
Ending in a murder scene
And I’m not such a man
Never been so brave or grand

But little one
I had a dream
About a nation that became....

A dazzling sky
The heroes of youth

A burning ache
Resurrecting Truth

My dreamy one
I had a dream
About a nation that became....

A guiding hand
Wipes the greed away

A whistle blown
Digs corruption’s grave

My dreamy one
I had a dream
About a nation that became....

A jasmine wind
Turns the air so sweet

A cleansing spring
Washes stained elites

Oh, little one
I had a dream
About a nation that became....

A brilliant star
‘Bove a poor man’s house

A treasure chest
Let the magic out

My dreamy one
I had a dream.......
Oh, dreamy one, Oh, dreamy one
I had a dream.......

This shadow of a man
Had a dream he can’t forget
A shadow with a dream
A nation changed, a nation blessed

And let us sing...

Lux et Veritas...Victoria
Let’s make our dreams come true...

Lux et Veritas...Victoria
And the dream begins with YOU.........

My dreamy one
I had a dream
A nation changed, a nation blessed...

About GESUNDHEIT! INSTITUTE:
The Gesundheit! Institute is a home-based hospital founded by Dr. Hunter "Patch" Adams in 1972, located outside of Hillsboro in rural West Virginia. The Institute states its vision as being dedicated to revolutionizing health care delivery by replacing what the Institute sees as greed and competition with generosity and compassion. Creation of Gesundheit! Institute was a topic of the 1998 movie Patch Adams starring Robin Williams. Since the 1970s, the Gesundheit Institute has treated over 15,000 patients without payment, medical insurance or formal facilities. One of the continued missions of the Gesundheit! Institute involves the concept of Humanitarian clowning. The project uses the theme of laughter as an integral element of effective doctoral care. In the past, the Gesundheit! Institute has taken clowns into the war zones in Bosnia, refugee camps in the Republic of Macedonia, as well as South African AIDS orphanages. In October 2007, Patch Adams and the Gesundheit Board unveiled its campaign to raise $1 million dollars towards building a Teaching Center and Clinic on its land in West Virginia. The Center and Clinic will enable Gesundheit to see patients and teach health care design. The Gesundheit! Institute was recently featured in an interview of Patch Adams, conducted by Greater Good Science Center. Adams has been raising money for the Institute for nearly three decades, and his goal is to open a 40-bed hospital in rural West Virginia that offers free, holistic health care to anyone who wants it.

About VOLUNTEERS WITHOUT BOUNDARIES:
After working as a registered nurse in emergency rooms throughout the United States, Mary Lightfine, a woman who thrives on challenges, decided to join an organization called Doctors Without Borders. That decision has changed her life. Since then she has lived and worked in more than a dozen countries, including some of the most hellish spots on earth. Mary was ambushed and shot at in Somalia and delivered babies in the jungles of Sri Lanka. Mary traveled through perilous Afghani Mountains infested with land mines by jeep, foot and Donkey to reach isolated inhabitants. She brought food to starving refugees by plane in south Sudan, after their villages and crops were destroyed by northern government alliances. She was also one of the first to provide medical aid to Kosovar refugees who had experienced unthinkable horrors. Mary, a seasoned veteran of the Nobel Prize winning organization Doctors Without Borders began sharing her moving stories with students across the United States in 2000. After hearing about her experiences numerous students wanted to spend their time helping others abroad but couldn't find organizations that would accept them into their programs. Most medical volunteer organizations accept only licensed professionals with a minimum of two years prior experience. In collaboration with medical professionals and communities south of the border Mary Lightfine is now able to provide the "opportunity of a lifetime" to others through the founding of Volunteers Without Boundaries Inc., a non profit charity organization.

Who is Catman Cohen?
Mysterious and controversial CATMAN COHEN is the strange, silhouette Canadian artist with the raw bullfrog voice.

Some critics call him the "musical Loch Ness Musician." Others refer to him as "the songwriting Sasquatch." No pictures, no standard biography, and an adamant refusal to perform live, despite various invitations to do so.

Described as "Rock Opera," his songs are based upon social action, notably a cry for the resurrection of neglected heroes (nurses, firemen, teachers, paramedics, soldiers, police, environmentalists, human rights activists, etc) and urgent warnings about the imminent fresh water crisis developing in the nation.

The Catman Chronicles feature a variety of guest vocalists, including goths, she-males, and breathy, sexy sirens. Various music critics have denounced his "out of the box" approach...yet the Catman perseveres down his chosen path, knowing that there is no turning back from doing what must be done, knowing that we must........

Sal Belloise Releases 'The South In Me' & 'Nothing But Love'

Sal Belloise has a compilation of 26 new songs found on his new albums titled "The South In Me" and "Nothing But Love." These acoustic guitar driven songs will please anyone who has an ear for Americana, folk rock, pop, jazz or country music. If you love tasty acoustic guitar jams with great lyrics these songs are for you.

Armed with an acoustic guitar and a head full of songs, Sal Belloise set out in a VW bus on his musical journey back in the hazy 60s. He's been traveling that road ever since, performing thousands of shows and meeting millions of faces. In the process, his music, like his rich, melodic guitar work and vocals, has deepened with life experiences along the way. Belloise's fans span the globe and are an intricate part of his creative process, as it is his audience who determines which songs get recorded.

"I let the people dictate which songs are keepers and which ones are sleepers by the initial response they receive from applause," Belloise says of the importance of his fans' participation and preferences. Although one tune might go over better in Ireland than another in New York City, his acoustically driven music finds its rhythmic groove somewhere between powerful folkish rock and trans-pop.

Belloise was weaned on vocal harmonies of the late psychedelic era - Crosby, Stills and Nash, Neil Young, James Taylor - and his guitar style is steeped in those sounds mixed with the spirit of Jimi Hendrix and flavored with the warm southern nights of living on a small island off the west coast of Florida - Clearwater Beach - where he came of musical age.

Belloise writes from the heart, with uplifting notes and stories most can relate to. He aspires to transform life's everyday mediocrity into experiences that elevate his listeners.

"I want everyone to walk away feeling good," he confesses - and believes, "There are pivotal songs in everyone's lives, songs that have special meaning and stay with you." And this is what he hopes to achieve through his art - to reach as many people as possible and through the universal language of song, perhaps find a way to unite people in peace through music.

MusicDishTV: Dan Manjovi - Things'll Get Better

Here, Dan Manjovi gives an energised live performance of his song, 'Things'll Get Better'. It's pretty standard concert footage, interspersed with close-ups of Manjovi's face and his hands as he taps out notes on his piano with great fervour. There are a few shots of the rest of his band, but the video focuses largely on the solo artist. In doing this, it also keeps the viewers attention focused completely on the inspirational words of the singer.

2009 American Hits Re-Recorded With A Latin Groove

With Latin inspired music having an ever growing influence on the pop scene over the last few years, it is definitely about time for a record like this one to come along...

'Top Hits - Latin Style 2009' is a selection of the best cover songs you will hear anywhere this year, all remixed with a spicy Latino twist. On the album you will find hits originally recorded by the likes of Leona Lewis, Rihanna, Natasha Bedingfield and Jason Mraz but as you have never heard them before.

Using a 'poppier' take on the reggaeton style that has swept the world into a dancing frenzy as his main source of inspiration, producer and arranger Pete Surdoval has created a record that will get the kids of the global village shaking their stuff. This is the best in American music, but with a distinctly Latin flavor.

alienplanetmusic.com/TheLatinSunSampler.mp3

The Grammy-Award winning Surdoval, who has worked with legends like Cat Stevens, Jimmy Cliff, Latoya Jackson, and Public Enemy, says he wanted to make a record full of positive pop songs that would remind him of the days watching his parents rumba around the living room.

The songs were performed by a collection of exciting musicians called 'The Latin Sun'. And the reaction to their take on these pop recordings has already made waves all over the world.

Whether it's a unique new angle of Jason Mraz's smash hit, 'I'm Yours' or the crazed Latin mash-up of Estelle's 'American Boy', there will be something here for all music lovers. The inventive re-imagining of Shontelle's summer classic, 'T-Shirt', has already seen it leap to the top of the bestseller's charts on Amazon.

But it's just the start. The sound of this Latin-pop fusion - sweeter and more playful than reggaeton, but harder edged than much of the pop music world - will no doubt be making dancefloors rock all through 2009. And beyond.

The Latin Sun have just given pop music one giant Tequila slammer. So grab your dancing shoes because they've started one hell of a party!

'Top Hits - Latin Style 2009', is available to buy now from iTunes, Amazon and all top online retailers. Do not miss out...
