Sonz Of Thunder UK Champion A Message Of Unity On New Single "London City Anthem"

Music Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jn4H5erdvDo

A message of solidarity and unity, this track and it's creators choose to take a view of their city which is inclusive and optimistic. Like so much of the best Reggae and Dancehall music, "London City Anthem" was inspired by challenging times. Written in response to the recent terror attacks at the London Bridge and Finsbury Park, "London City Anthem" is a song born of darkness which encourages audiences to reach for the light.

Natives of Northwestern London, brothers Shane and Dean Brown are inspired to create socially conscious music which moves bodies and generates thoughtful dialogue around important themes guiding our modern society. Choosing Reggae, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, RnB and Gospel as their creative tools, the brothers create music which inspires hearts and minds to see the opportunity in the world around them.

The Sonz of Thunder UK have a history of drawing inspiration from socially charged and politically challenging times. Following the death of South African President Nelson Mandela, the brothers Brown knew they had to write a song which would celebrate his life.

The musical production and video treatment for their track "Mandela" is considered a creative high point for the group. From the unique sound effects to the uplifting messages of unity and solidarity, "Mandela" is a vibrant musical celebration of the life of one of the most heroic individuals of all times. Nelson Mandela left an enduring legacy of freedom and opportunity on our world and the Sonz of Thunder UK have been able to champion this history and distill it into rhythmic dancehall inspired package.

Released on New River Sound Music, "London City Anthem" is a pulsing tribute to one of the world's most important cities. Building on past successes such as "Mandela" and "More to Life", "London City Anthem" promises a bright future for Sonz of UK Thunder and the city they love so much. Be sure to check out timely lyrics and bouncing island vibes of Sonz of Thunder UK's new single "London City Anthem"!

Unsigned Artist Jake Aldridge Releases 'Give You The World'

The future is bright for 27 year old Jake Aldridge, who has come a long way from his humble beginnings in the world of music as he announces his new single; Give You The World will have a music video filmed abroad.

Starting out ten years ago with a £12 microphone and a pop shield made from a sock, Jake has had to learn from the roots of the industry as his introduction to his music career came about rather unexpectedly.

After losing his father when Jake was 11 years old, he turned to his diary as a way to cope with his grief. He found he could rhyme words which turned in to short raps that he eventually plucked up the courage to perform in front of his friends.

Jake Aldridge has now racked up 100,000 plays online and has worked with some top names in the industry to write and produce music that has an RnB-meets-Hip-Hop sound.

Jake has achieved national and international radio plays including his latest release, which was aired on Tom Robinson's BBC Introducing Mixtape. His music is now playing on four British television channels as he recently signed a publishing deal with Leopard Music.

Jake is now set for a video shoot in Spain, and despite the release being self-funded; he has defended his decision to shell out for the project.

"It's really not about money for me. I take my music life very seriously but I don't make decisions from a business perspective. I am doing this for the fans, for my core supporters. I put them first when making decisions. Some of these people have followed me since the days of Myspace, they've watched me grow as an artist and I know just how much they would love to see a new music video from outside of the UK."

Give You The World is set for release on Sunday 2nd of August and the music video will follow ONE week later, on the 9th of August.

Giovannie Pierre-Louise's Inspirational Song "Reaching For The Stars"

The new single and video, "Reaching For The Stars", from Giovannie Pierre-Louise, known professionally as Gio, is a slow tempo number that is beautifully inspirational, encouraging, and reaches its goal of being serene, with soft but lyrically strong vocals connecting well with listeners. Fans of any music genre will be easily able to get into this song, because it has a style that simply defies categorization. In the video, Gio is sitting on a beautiful cloud, singing and reaching for her star. If she keeps producing songs like this, it's definitely not far out of reach.

One's inspiration doesn't always have to come from somewhere else; if you don't look too far you'll see it within. From Gio, "as a child I always imagined that I was in this land of make believe, with this ever lasting beauty and always used this hairbrush as my microphone. I looked up to the ceiling as if it was beautiful stars while I was singing in my own imaginary world." That was what inspired her to do this song and video, the scene just as she imagined, by herself in the snow.

New Solo Recording Artist Jey Gibbs Wants To "Touch Yo Body" With Debut Single Release

When Jey Gibbs stepped foot on the stage of the legendary "Showtime at the Apollo," and opened his mouth, he was only 13, but he knew destiny was calling out to him. Singing since the age of four, the young artist was blessed with a gift that made the adults around him take note. So much so that even as a child he assisted his mom when she gave vocal lessons to the choir at his home church.

Today, the 24-year is cementing his talent with his debut independent single and video release of "Touch Yo Body." If "Showtime at the Apollo" was still taking auditions, its doubtful he would be boo'ed from the stage! Gibbs has a voice and style that naturally causes women to sway and swoon. With a dash of hip hop bravado; coupled with smooth R&B fever, Gibb's vocal approach is seasoned with special flavor. He gracefully exudes a lustful timbre, tempered with a vintage charm, that he calls "Da E-ffect." A gifted songwriter as well, with "Touch Yo Body," Gibbs seduces the ear while he cradles the heart with lyrics that unwind any semblance of resistance. Gibb's B-side release, "Shoulda Coulda Woulda," which he also composed, continues the lyrical seduction with an up tempo beat that bangs steady.

"I am happy to be able to finally throw my hat in the ring," reveals Gibbs. "It's taken a lot of hard word and sacrifice to bring my music to the table and I could not have done it alone. I am extremely grateful to the team I have around me. With these two songs, I'm singing to the women and I think with one listen, they will get the message loud and clear. I am an artist who is here for them." A Charleston, SC native, currently residing in Brooklyn, NY, Gibbs is a recent graduate of Long Island University with a bachelors in Media Arts. He hosts his own campus radio show, "Business with Jay."

Both "Touch Yo Body" and "Shoulda Coulda Woulda" were mixed and recorded at Harlem's popular Stadium Red Studios. When not singing and recording, Gibbs supplements his craft by working at La Guardia Airport as a Transportation Security Officer. But by the sound of his first solo offerings, that won't be for long.

Following His Debut Single Featuring Snoop Dogg, Pop/R&B Sensation A.M.X. Boasts "We Can Do Whatever" With Next Release

When new pop/R&B sensation Andre Mieux aka A.M.X. boasts "We Can Do Whatever" in the hook of his latest single release, he means it! Unleashing the track on the heels of his debut "You Made Me Change My Number," which featured none other than rap icon Snoop Dogg, A.M.X. spits game with the stamina of an artist hauling heat. Produced by dance track master Brian "Chazz" Padilla, "We Can Do Whatever" body slams with lyrical combustion as A.M.X. continues to pack power on his musical path to the top! With "We Can Do Whatever," A.M.X. seamlessly showcases his brilliant artistry, effortlessly fusing elements of rap, pop and house, bringing a sound that sizzles and simmers to the dance floor.

A.M.X.'s recent mixtape "Broken Halo," downloaded over 90,000 times on Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes, was another recent indication that he is an artist with a strong intention for winning. A.M.X. dropped "Broken Halo" late July, following the Snoop Dogg-laced, "You Made Me Change My Number" which was produced by the Grammy Award nominated duo "Da Internz." Sean Brown, Shorty Mack and Bizzy Bone from Bone Thugs-n-Harmony added fire to the production which showcases A.M.X.'s vocal finesse, musical muscle and clear capacity to ignite the club. Seven tracks strong, "Broken Halo," is a far departure from the A.M.X.'s classical roots however!

A classically trained pianist, musicianship rests deep within the core of A.M.X.'s heart. The West Covina, CA native has been writing, singing and dancing since he was 8 years old. By the age of 12, he was producing music with Grammy Award winning artist, Ricky Lawson of the Yellowjackets. A.M.X.'s musical gift has indeed forged a litany of accomplishments.

Outside of his quest as a solo artist and entertainer, he is also a talented songwriter and producer. His song, "Let Me Be the One" was recorded by the Korean boy band sensation SS501, he charted on Billboard's The Next Big Sound Top 25 and his musical vision provides the soundtrack for the DVD independent film release, "Wigger." In addition to his new single release, A.M.X. produced and co-wrote a song for Bobby DeBarge Jr., son of the late Robert DeBarge, entitled "One and Only." Both "We Can Do Whatever," and "One and Only" are available on iTunes.

Committed and determined to excel as a solo act, A.M.X. has been touring internationally and nationally in support of his career, opening for Boyz II Men, Joe, Ginuwine, SWV, Dru Hill and most recently R. Kelly. "I'm excited to infuse my own special style and brand into the music scene," offers A.M.X. "As a kid playing classical piano, I knew music was my life. My musical progression has taken dips and turns. To end up here though, making music with some of the hottest in the business, it is beyond a dream come true! I'm really feeling like I can do whatever right now and win!"

A.M.X. plans to continue to do 'whatever,' bombarding music fans with ammunition from his musical catalog of hits. The artist plans to shoot a video music video soon and release an E.P. in the near future. Review: "Sunny Day" By R&B/Pop Talent Amira

"Sunny Day" is an R&B and pop mix that lifts your spirits and elevates your mood and day. It's the perfect way to ease into chill mode and be relaxed and at peace. It just made the top of my morning mix because the words and the music are so positive. The piano and keys get this song started with a warm mix and easy mid tempo dance track, with a nice kick drum. The percussion isn't "in your face," but is smooth, and the vocals are rocking. Amira has a great soft, soulful voice, and the background vocals complement the song well. With lyrics like, "Nothing's gonna change my mind, Nothing's gonna bring me down", that are set to smooth, but catchy music; "Sunny Day" just keeps you on a high note. The high string hits really add nice touches, and the track is well produced. This is a great song for a world that needs more smiles and positivity."

R&B/Pop Talent Amira Releases Debut Single, "Sunny Day" From Upcoming Self-Titled EP

Bridgett McKenzie, Manager for the up and coming R&B/pop talent Amira, announced the release of Amira's new single, "Sunny Day". The track is the debut release from Amira's self-titled EP, which is slated for release early next year. "Sunny Day" is being made available to fans at no cost on Amira's Facebook page.

McKenzie is enthusiastic about both the release and the artist. "Amira is a breath of fresh air. She merges multiple genres into an R&B base with a soulful, smooth voice, and the combination is both powerful and unique. Her lyrics are meaningful and catchy, and she really takes pride in what she writes and sings. She's a great, clean cut artist whose music both children and parents can agree on, because it's good and it's positive." She continued, "Sunny Day" is a song that we're both very proud of. It has the same kind of vibe that Will Smith's "Summertime" has, and while it's soothing, you can definitely bump your head to it. Amira doesn't compromise when it comes to her music or career, and this song will prove that. She's a very versatile artist who is able to perform songs from many different genres and still produce a great track. In the next couple of weeks, fans will see another side of her on YouTube as she performs the cover for Taylor Swift's new song, "We Are Never Getting Back Together."

Music Dish Reviews "Toast To The Dads" By KC Jockey

KC Jockey sings a passionate tribute to his own father and all others who are striving to do the right thing. It's a strong single with positive, heartfelt lyrics that will touch any real dad's heart, and make those who are failing for whatever reason rethink their positions and remember the honor that comes with this responsibility. This is such a great message, and like all of KC Jockey's songs, it's set to an up tempo pop/R&B beat infused with reggae that is great for dancing or just listening to. The music is excellent, and as always, I'm impressed by KC Jockey's commitment to all things positive. He doesn't just talk the talk; he walks the walk as well.

It’s a strong single with positive, heartfelt lyrics that will touch any real dad’s heart, and make those who are failing for whatever reason rethink their positions and remember the honor that comes with this responsibility. Dissociative Identity Volume 1 By Ariana Receives Strong International Support

Within days of the independent release from Ariana titled Dissociative Identity volume 1, a highly entrenched fanbase shows their love and support of the album by pushing Ariana quickly through the ranks of the reverbnation charts to number 10 in the Tampa, Fl local market. Performing since the age of 14, Ariana has amassed a catalog of 100+ songs that she penned. It was this vast body of work that spawned the Dissociative Identity album concept along with a Super Heroine comic book that is in production. Ariana's music encompasses multiple genre making her music persona multiple personalities. Dissociative identity disorder (DID, also known as multiple personality disorder is a psychiatric diagnosis whose essential feature...is the presence of two or more distinct identities or personality states...that recurrently take control of behavior. The diagnosis requires that at least two personalities routinely take control of the individual's behavior. In tuning her craft, Ariana has touched on every genre and morphs into different personalities for each session. No Genre is safe. Tootie - This is the nickname we call Ariana. In fact, it is the only name that she has been called since she was a baby. This character is bubbly, upbeat, has no negative bone in her body. She sees the positive in every thing and finds positive solutions to the worse scenarios although sometimes she can be easily fooled due to being naive about life and tricksters etc. Ariana - This is her legal real name. This is the character that is born with a silver spoon in her mouth and has not had to want for anything. She has always had things and it has made her kind of snobby. She reads incessantly and is ultra intelligent. She is sort of like a genius but because she is snobby she doesn't feel the need to prove anything to anyone. On the album Ariana represents all of the R&B ballads that she has done since she was 14 years old. ShaQuayla - This is the first part of Ariana's middle name. This is the character who wanted to be Ariana but she is so ghetto and hardcore that she warps that image and gets it all wrong. She knows about rules but doesn't care about them and will just take whatever the consequences of her actions are...good or bad. Her speech is the most ghetto and type cast sort of speech you can think of and she makes honest attempts to speak proper but it is comical in nature. On the album ShaQuayla represents the Club songs and raps that Ariana has done since she was 14 years old. Mi'Shon - This is the second part of Ariana's middle name. This character embraces mysticism and magic. As a kid she played games like Dungeons and Dragons and used a Quija board and tapped into the real essence of mysticism and magic. She is very ethereal and weird in her mannerisms and her logic and speech puts you in the mind of David Carradine in the tv show Kung Fu. On the album Mi'Shon represents the rock and roll and alternative and other genre songs that Ariana has done since she was 14 years old. The Dissociative Identity volume 1 album, and series, will directly support the highly anticipated release of the comic book - DIVA TEAM. It is an international effort that will amaze you. Only mailing list members are treated to updates and behind the scenes previews so to encourage your participation Ariana is giving away a free song to get you to sign up and then you will be part of the entrenched fanbase that is currently moving her up the indie charts. An Interview by Natasha Anac Edited by Geena Jinev Anac With six solo albums, four Grammy nominations, over twenty years in the music industry and launching his own record label one thing certain about R&B Superstar Eric Benét, he has succeeded on holding on to his own style without being phased by the new trends when it comes to his music, he certainly is one of the artists that keeps his integrity at a maximum level in a very "demanding" music industry and he never sacrifices his music in order to sell records. With his upcoming album "The One" it was a pleasure interviewing such a gifted artist like Eric Benét. What inspired you for the new album "The One"? EB: It is titled "The One", 'cause I have been in a twenty-year career, dreaming. hoping and praying that one day to be able to have my own record label and one day to be able to release my own music and other music. Finally after all these years this release is the one. This is the one that I feel like I am on the top of my game, musically, creatively, vocally I am in complete control of the project: It shows the diversity of musicianship. Do you feel even more challenged since you have your own record label? What are the positives and the negatives of having your own label? EB: Being an artist at another record label, as long as it was somebody else's label, as long as somebody else had to give the final creative approval before that record was released. You know that is not creative control to me, having my own label creatively I just feel like, I can spread my wings and give my audience the most pure, the most direct, creative representation of myself musically, now that's on the positive category. As negative, I don't even want to say negative, more like challenge in another category (Laughs), now that it is my record label, with that I got to write checks, I have to come up with the money to do quite a few things like the video or for the marketing. I welcome that challenge, the benefits out-weigh the challenges. By far it is an empowering situation. At the end of the day when the project is released, it is music and masters that I own, other than music that I recorded on Warner Brothers, they own that music now. Ownership motivates you. What's the story behind your new single Real Love! By the way, loved the video. EB: Thank you! Real Love is inspired by the relationship that I have with my wife. It's about having a love that comes from wisdom, growth and maturity. Sometimes we listen love songs that are all about fairy tale romance and sometimes we are not ready for that, we might still need some growing to do as an individual before we can give or receive that kind of love. For me what "Real Love" represents being evolved, by having enough life experiences to really know what it takes to make something so beautiful, a lot of it is work, a lot of it is cherishing what you have and nurturing it. Finding something real and making it last and that is pretty much the inspiration behind the song. Have you decided on the next single Eric? EB: Now that the recording process is finished myself, my management company, Primary Wave, and my distribution company EMI Capital Records, are listening to all the songs and trying to decide. How do you compare the overseas fans to US fans? EB: Seems like at the overseas is the emphasis on your sound or how the instrument is being played, it seems like here in the States, the emphasis is more on the celebrity or the sensationalism than the actual substance on what that artist is actually representing. What's your secret for being around for over 20 years in this industry? EB: That is an excellent question, I think: authenticity. I have never been an artist that tries to keep up with the trends. Over the past twenty years, there have been many trends. Hot producers that come and go. Hot artists that come and go. I have never been the kind of artist that said that beat, that groove is hot right now, let me find that producer so I can get him on my record. I authentically fell in love with a certain style, I guess enrichment, production and craftsmanship when it comes to R&B since I was a little boy. Every time I go in to the studio I want to have the goose bumps first time I heard Quincy Jones record, Michael Jackson or Earth Wind and Fire record. When I look back, that music versus the music of today, music today is great and very exciting but it is not as emotional as the music from back in the day. That has been my barometer, I think I have a better shot at having stamina and having something classic and that is my standard. I think that is the reason that I am able to sustain my career as long as I have. Are you inspired by any of the new artists that are around? EB: Yes there are a few. Legacy: I think she is brilliant. I really like Mike Ocean, I like where he is coming from. There is talent, there is hope Any last words to your fans? EB: I would like to extend my utmost gratitude and thanks for allowing me to make my music, for allowing me to sing over the years. "The One" CD that will come out in May I am sure you will appreciate it and it is my way of saying "Thank you" once again. In the age of Auto Tune and advanced studio technology, Eric Benét might just be the answer for those who seek a pure & organic sound that they can feel touching their hearts and soul for many years to come. The single is a blend of traditional R&B with a new flavor transcending but not forgetting today’s music. It only takes one listen to this dynamic track for you to realize that Gary is not only a phenomenal vocalist, but a multi instrumentalist (something that was not showcased by his previous works as the lead singer for SILK) and a seasoned writer and producer as well; and one who has decided to stay true to his art form while understanding that he is going up against other artists who are relying on gimmicks as opposed to pure talent to promote record sales. "Get ready" Gary continues "because THIS NEW DUDE YOU MESSIN' WIT' is taking you on a trip to a very exciting place and giving you a natural HIGH!" I’m already on board. Are you? Reggae Artist KC Jockey Is Looking For "A Better Jamaica" With New, Free Downloadable Tribute

Karl-Marx Waite of Sweet Sadie's Records announced the release of KC Jockey's new track, "A Better Jamaica." The track is a tribute to the artist's homeland, and one that he hopes will be an anthem for better days ahead. "A Better Jamaica" can be downloaded from KC Jockey's website free of charge, as it is his present to the people of Jamaica and all who love the beautiful country.

According to the CIA World Facebook, "Jamaica is currently plagued with high crime rates and corruption, large scale unemployment and under employment, and the 4th highest debt burden per capita in the world." Other sources state that, "The total life expectancy for Jamaicans has been declining since at least 2004, at which time it was 76. The rate of violence is particularly high in Kingston, and spreading to other areas. That issue is beginning to affect tourism, which accounts for one fifth of Jamaica's GDP with $4 billion/year in revenues." And with the upcoming election, the situation may become even worse.

KC Jockey's "A Better Jamaica" is a promotional track and a smooth groove of a song that has depth and meaning. This song will be added to the artist's album, which will be released soon and include an uplifting new version of the previous "Waiting In Vain" track that was loved and done by: Bob Marley The mid-tempo reggae single is infused with a just a hint of R&B and soul, and bursting with the hope for a new day in KC Jockey's much loved homeland of Jamaica, one without violence, poverty, and hunger. "A Better Jamaica" is a very likeable song which fulfills its purpose of fueling oneness, peace, and love for and between all Jamaicans. KC Jockey has a wonderful voice that greatly accentuates the message of "A Better Jamaica," which is both musically and lyrically strong. The artist seems to be very much driven by causes near and dear to his heart, as his release prior to this one, "Girl, You're Free," addressed domestic violence. "Girl, You're Free," released on August 27th, has been #1 on WXAC 91.3's Urban Charts for a total of 8 weeks, and is still enjoying rotation on other stations. The video will be shot in Atlanta for the new year.

KC Jockey attributes the success of his music to his unique style of combining Pop,R&B,Hip-Hop, and reggae with topics that will have meaning and relevance for a lifetime. "The music I make is timeless and significant, and it's for all ages to listen to. It's deep, and when you have a good sound and a good message, people are drawn to it. Jamaica is my homeland. It's a beautiful place where people from other countries come to relax and enjoy the exquisiteness of it in every sense. It's time now for Jamaicans to be able to embrace each other as the brothers and sisters that we are, and enjoy the country for ourselves, without fear, pain, or violence. We, as a people, will overcome our present circumstances, and we will be better for it in the end. That is the Jamaica that I know and love."

Multitalented And Multilingual Soul/RnB/Blue’s Artist Avana's Best Kept Secret Is Now Out

Shawn Keyz of Parlay Desert Multimedia announced the release of Avana’s track “Patron” from her new album The Best Kept Secret. Boasting 11 tracks of finger popping grooves about real life, “Patron” is available at major online retailers Amazon.com and iTunes. The Best Kept Secret is also available in a CD format from CD Baby. The Best Kept Secret is Avana’s third album. She debuted with It’z On in 2004, which she followed up with her sophomore album, Oopz Uh Oh…” the same year. Christie said, “The difference between Avana and other artists is that she has a very unique voice – one that’s soulful, pleasing to listen to, and vocally refreshing. And she can do much more than just sing – she’s an entertainer as well. There’s a tremendous difference between the two.”

“Patron” is 3 minutes and 28 seconds of fresh, funky, bluesy dance music with attitude that is in a class by itself. The track is a fun mid-tempo dance track about one of America’s popular drinks and a girl’s night out, celebrating life, and drinking Patron. Avana takes you on a refreshingly innovative RnB, soul, and blues blended voyage that will have you out of work mode and ready to “get your Patron on” in no time, Her unique voice is perfectly suited to this style of music, which defies classification by one genre. Avana’s sassy and sophisticated vocal performance is well complemented by the music, which you won’t be able to resist if you like getting your groove on. In short, “Patron” takes you where you want to go and it keeps you there. It’s perfect for hitting the club, just chilling, or hanging with the ladies (and/or gents). “Patron” delivers both musically and lyrically as Avana proclaims in the chorus: “Give me my lime and my salt/Patron in my glass/Let’s get this party started/I came to dance/Play some blues/Turn it up/Desert blues/Turn it up.” So, turn it up with “Patron” and you won’t be disappointed.

With all the elements of a marquee vocalist, Avana has delivered breathtaking and body chilling performances both domestically and internationally. Fans in Hilton Head, Atlanta, Japan, Spain, China and Taiwan have enjoyed her shows. Singing in three languages, Avana is a true favorite in the entertainment capital of “Las Vegas”. Also known as the “Georgia Peach,” Avana has been fortunate to have achieved some incredible credits to her name. She has been a vocal duet partner for Michael Henderson and performed background vocals for Billy Paul, Phil Perry, Johnny Gill, and even The Supremes in Spain, just to mention a few. She has given stellar performances as the opening act for Rolls Royce, Ray Charles, Ollie Woodson, Al Green, and was the featured lead vocalist for the BB King All-star Band.
