Kira Alexi is an alternative rock American/Filipino singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Kira took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles at age 16 to pursue a career in music. Her music has been noted for her ethereal vocals, complex harmonies and introspective lyrics.



Kira's unique sound is accomplished with the help of her band consisting of international musicians & collaborators, featuring from Mexico, Aldo Vidal on Lead Guitar, Enrique Gomez on Drums and from Ecuador, Juano Argüello on Bass. Award winning singer/songwriter Halie Loren is in production for a new music video in collaboration with HOCA STUDIO and director Thang Ho in Atlanta, Georgia this week for her original song, "Noah", off of her latest album, "From the Wild Sky", produced by Troy Miller (Jamie Cullum, Becca Stevens, Gregory Porter).



"Noah", an emotionally poignant ballad about loss and hope, is a follow-up to her first video from the album, "How to Dismantle a Life", the buoyant and charmingly wry first single which came out to worldwide praise in Summer, 2018.



"I am so excited to be working with Thang Ho on a song that means as much to me as "Noah" does. The imagery we are creating to communicate this song's story and heart is inspiring and moving me so deeply. Aretha Henry To Release Fourth Studio Album, Mrs. Jones

Singer-Songwriter Aretha Henry will release her fourth studio album later this year. On April 1st, she released the album's first single, "Love Language". The Camden Mississippi native announced the title of the album on her blog, Aretha Henry Daily, back in March.

The songstress became Mrs. Jones for the second time on June 1st of last year when she remarried her 1st (and only) husband, Kevin Jones. Mrs. Jones is very excited about the upcoming album, gushing about it stating "Well, I couldn't think of a title more fitting for my fourth studio album besides Mrs. Jones. Hehehe. Born and raised in the shadow of the Motor City, Brandon Bonine found music early on in life. Probably first hearing Teddy Pendergrass and Aaron Copland in his diaper, it was hard for him not to feel the infectious groove. First picking up the guitar at the age of 11, he spent hours learning from the jazz cats of his dad’s record collection, idolizing the poster of Slash on his wall. He was rejected from music school, but that didn’t stop him. Throughout college he divided his time between jazz gigs and DJing parties, often trading meals to build up his record and coffee collection. Priscilla Renea Hairston (see pictured) of Los Angeles, California has won the Overall Grand Prize and First Prize in the Pop category in the 22nd Annual USA Songwriting Competition with her song "Family Tree" along with songwriters Boots Ottstad and Ben Burgess. This is her first win in any Songwriting Competition. Her winning song "Family Tree" is a touching mid-tempo song based on a true story on Priscilla's turbulent early life.



Additionally, she co-wrote a song "Love So Soft", which was recorded by Kelly Clarkson, received a nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards. The song hit #47 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts.



Priscilla was signed to Capitol Records in 2009. She is also a professional songwriter, her songs she has written reads like who-who's in Pop music. Her songs were recorded by Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Fifth Harmony, Demi Lovato, Rihanna, Madonna, Selena Gomez and Chris Brown. Several of her songs have hit the Billboard Hot 100 Charts.

Levi Moore, is a country singer/songwriter out of Savannah, GA. He writes what he feels and sings from the heart, taking notes Jennings, but also influenced early on by the great songwriters of lore, like Gordon Lightfoot and Jim Croce.

While having always craved the presence of music, he began creating music late, teaching himself to play guitar in the second half of my five-year college career, using music as a balance between football practice and midterm exams. Having been a storyteller and writer since elementary school, songwriting was a natural progression.

After 3 years, he left the oilfield to become a full-time musician, moving to Savannah, GA and plunging headlong into the coastal fray. After having been nominated for Male Vocalist of The Year in Modern Country at the 2017 Josie Music Awards, He is diligently working at my craft, gigging throughout the week, writing more than ever, and preparing to cut and release my first album this winter.

Michael Peloso is a New Jersey-based lyricist/songwriter who writes undeniably touching, honest lyrics with a sense of simplicity that are uniquely all his own. Singer/Songwriter Mandy Bon has released 'Traffic Jams,' an EP made up of four original songs sharing the artist's insights into the ups and downs of life. Bon, a music major who plays piano, guitar and ukulele, decided to compose original music that reflected being a young twenty-something musician wondering aloud about her life path. "I get lots of ideas driving in L.A. traffic," says Bon. "A lot of songs come to mind." 'LA Traffic' highlights Bon being scared of commitment but willing to take the risk when she first started dating her future husband. "I was feeling very unsure about the direction of my life, was very nervous, I think people can relate," says Bon. Another song on the EP titled 'Only A Fake' chronicles the universal frustration of getting stuck, with the anger being vented on oneself. "I wrote this when feeling very discouraged," says Bon. "In the end, the song is about pulling yourself out of that hole and keep stepping forward. Things will get better, even if at first it doesn't feel that way. We all have moments where we compare past with present." "Guess I'm only a fake Nice and neat for a day Pack away my mistakes Guess I'm only a Fake."

Uke Ballad
'Super Glue' is a ukulele-propelled ballad of love written to Bon's husband. The corresponding music video has the artist playing uke while flipping boards highlighting both her art and lyrics. "And I like you, even when I bug you, and actually I love you, alot!"

Collaboration
Bon hooked up with violinist Maile Hutchinson to breathe life into 'Saying Goodbye', "an honest song poured out of me when I felt absolutely devastated." "I'm a mess Watch me cry Driving home Dripping Sky." "Ok, so basically a very cheery song," adds Bon with a laugh. For the EP, Bon composed, recorded and mixed each track. Bon also helmed most of the music video production herself.

Dan McCarthy Releases New Video And Single "Ladybug Point" Worldwide

It was 20 years ago while traveling the coast of Oregon when McCarthy and his then girlfriend Karen stopped to take in the view. It was there, as the two gazed at the beauty of the towering cliffs and with the sounds of the crashing waves below, the poem, "Ladybug Point" was written on a tattered piece of note paper. The two would later be married and go on the build their family and life together as the poem remained in a drawer for the next 18 years. In 2014, McCarthy was inspired to write a song from his poem and later was added as one of the songs on his first EP.



In 2016 McCarthy submitted one of his songs to Music 1 Radio, the internet radio station sponsored by Star 1 Group. Laura Patterson, President of Star 1 Group, Star 1 Records, and Shine On Records heard McCarthy's song and contacted him for a phone interview. What resulted was a newly produced video for Ladybug Point and a complete remix that became the soundtrack and a new single. "I was taken by both the simplicity and beauty of the song. After learning that it was inspired by a poem, it was easy to understand why", stated Ms. Patterson.

Singer-Songwriter Raquel Aurilia announced she is kicking off spring with performances in Nashville and Glendale, AZ in April before she hits the road to open for John Waite on his upcoming Texas concert tour in May. Award-Winning Band HERRICK Releases New Album Cottonfields

They are award-winning, and dancing on a multi-genre musical radar. And now, after the trendsetting self-made album, New Dance, Herrick is back with another ballsy opus.

Cottonfields was produced by Herrick and veteran producer David Walker. Vocalist Donna Herrick, along with husband and bass player, Kerry Herrick, guitarist Jefferson Rogers, and drummer Jeff Bradshaw, began writing for the album in early 2014. The result is an collection that offers a panoramic sonic experience, with a variety of themes, all wrapped in characteristic Herrick musicianship, showcasing Donna's power vocals with driving harmonies.

It is a kind of roots/rock Americana music that borders on folk literature.

Themes of empowerment, freedom, spirituality, the importance of preserving traditions and cultures are woven throughout Cottonfields. The title track is authentic American music. It is an intricate mix of primitive music that was brought here by immigrants, wanderers and slaves and was blended into a joyful language that changed the way the world thinks about music. Like others before them, Herrick explores a variety of musical influences and adds that distinctive Herrick touch.

"The uniqueness of this project comes not from one or multiple sources or backgrounds, rather, a comradery and respect in combining each of our roots, love of music, accompanied with a combination of a well rooted-progressive style that we, as a band, can call our own," says Kerry.

Herrick has become known for the band's high energy live performances. Herrick, winner of an IMA (Independent Music Award), is one of busiest touring acts on the road, and all of that mileage and direct fan contact has provided an excellent education for the band in what people love and want to hear.

"I think what people love about us is the energy we generate playing together and feeding off each other," says singer/songwriter Donna Herrick. "There's a lot of drive in our band, and we managed to capture that on this record. We love the music that we cut our teeth on and it'll always be part of us, but we've reached the point where we're consciously trying to push things forward."

Killer pipes and mold shattering songwriting come together in an album that transcends genre. The new album defines no-holds-barred by combining the very roots of American music with an openly rockin' and revolutionary flavor.

The singer-songwriter delivers a rustic yet soulful sound throughout the five song EP as he sings about celebrating the splendors of life. Reaching For The Moon marks RG's follow up to the acclaimed Lightning Strikes EP, released in the spring of 2015. Once again recording in his personal Santa Monica studio, RG collaborated heavily Kabler, Kury, Haaland and Krusen after touring the better part of the year together.

"Lightning Strikes was recorded over the course of the year, making the recording process less organic since we were in and out of the studio numerous times," explains RG. "When we began recording Reaching For The Moon, we were fresh off the road and restless to get into the studio. I was determined to work at a faster pace to maintain the band's momentum."

Getting his start in music as the frontman of L.A. indie pop/Americana outfit Last December, RG wasted no time finding his own voice as a solo artist, starting with his debut full-length New Eyes in 2013. However, Pete RG's solo efforts have proven to be an even stronger collaborative effort. "I wanted Last December to capture all the feelings and subtleties that I felt when I played the songs by myself," recalls RG. "Now, I want to reveal as little as possible about myself while working with a band. It's a much more fun and rewarding process than the earlier days."

The Ormewoods Tease Upcoming Album "The Bedroom Sessions" By Releasing First Single

Atlanta based duo The Ormewoods are set to release their debut album "The Bedroom Sessions" on July 2, 2016. In anticipation, they are releasing their single, "Hey Babe", through digital distribution.

The Ormewoods are a modern love story for all ages. 13 years ago, the couple who had been friends for years, parted ways after Don told Claire not to marry her now ex-husband 6 weeks before her wedding. Claire did not take his advice and although invited, Don did not attend her wedding. The two never spoke or saw each other again.

Don says, "I don't know that I was hitting on her when I said that, but I don't know that I wasn't. It was hard because we were both involved with good people who neither of us would have ever wanted to hurt. But you can't help who you are attracted to. Things could've gone such a different way that night but we did the best we could considering the circumstances."

Fast-forward to June of 2015 when Claire and long-time writing partner Heidi Higgins, who perform as The Daffodils, were working out some new songs at the Red Clay Theater. She posted a video on Facebook and Don saw it. He was living in Duluth, right around the corner and reached out to Claire see if she was still there but she had already left. That moment was the beginning of a new chapter for both artists, who were now both divorced and single.

In an odd twist of fate, at the same time, Don relocated back to the city into a rental that happened to be walking distance from Claire's house in Ormewood Park. Don says, "I had no idea where she lived. It's such a weird coincidence." Claire says, "When I realized how close he was moving, I just couldn't believe it. It felt like the Universe was conspiring to bring us back together. Older, wiser, but the same spark and chemistry we always had."

"The first night we saw each other, we ended up at my recording studio and were playing guitars and singing to each other. We both knew our voices had a special blend. The kind of blend you can't train for, it's just happenstance,” says McCollister. "At that moment, I knew I wanted to sing with her. What I didn't know at the time, is that Claire is a very disciplined writer and she writes every day in a journal. Copious notes and details. She was documenting every conversation, every date, everything."

About three months into the relationship, Claire started playing for Don some of the songs she had written, with lyrics straight out of her diary. "It was nerve-racking," says Claire. "But luckily, he really liked them."

Don, a two time Grammy award winning engineer/producer, liked them enough that he brought his recording/production rig to Claire's bedroom so he could record the songs. "I wanted to capture the intimacy and the honesty of what she was saying." They used a week of vacation time to record what they now call "The Bedroom Sessions." The first single, "Hey Babe", was written about the whirlwind of feelings Claire was feeling in the beginning of their budding romance.

MusicDishTV Review: Brian Mackey Music Video "Honest Love"

Brian Mackey has a truly beautiful song in "Honest Love." Catchy, lyrical and touching, "Honest Love" tells of how hard it is to come by great, true love. However, although it is hard and rare to find, it is worth it. More worth it than small dalliances and small, fleeting affairs.

His music video is also very well done. For most of the song it is just Brian and his guitar, pouring out his emotions while strumming away. However, it also shows people from all walks of life who believe in honest love. They are poor, rich, different nationalities, homeless and successful. This contrasts to Brian's slightly cynical view of honest love.

It seems that Brian really wants to believe in honest love and as he explains, has attempted many times to try and hold onto true love. However, because of his bad experiences with love he struggles to understand when he will next find it and for how long. The people in the background of his music video clip create a more happy feelings and are more hopeful.

Perhaps this is the moral of the song and music video- no matter how difficult honest loves is you will ever find honest love without remaining just a little bit hopeful.

Missing Link Music has signed a worldwide administration deal with Charlie Bereal. As a platinum-selling producer, musician and singer/songwriter, Charlie has become one of the most sought after touring guitar players in the industry.
