Los Angeles - Former Playboy TV producer Ken Francis III has signed a deal with Fullscreen,Inc., one of the largest YouTube multi-channel network operators. Fullscreen, Inc., will promote and monetize Francis' YouTube channel, "The Buckwild Show," an archive of exclusive behind-the-scene footage Francis has secured filming, interviewing and documenting the biggest names in hip hop over the past two decades, including Snoop Dogg, Run DMC, Black Eyed Peas, Pharrell, Bobby Brown, and Outkast. Francis' channel will feature classic episodes of "The Buckwild Show" as well as his new show, "In The Lab." The signing marks a milestone feat for Francis who was just released from Federal prison less than a year ago.

An original and groundbreaking hip hop music video show, "The Buckwild Show" presents top name artists with sexy models. The series originally aired on Playboy TV in 2005 and has now been revamped for YouTube programming.

Francis' other show, "In The Lab," goes behind the scenes of music productions, featuring footage of studio sessions with various top recording artists. The show also showcases the home studios of famous as well as up-coming artists. There is a "Check The Technique" segment where music producers reveal some of their recording tips and Francis' vintage footage of various celebrities in the studio is highlighted in the "Classic Clips" segment of the show.

"The Buckwild Show" channel will also incorporate current celebrity hip hop news into Francis' funny "Qwik Clips," a 'talking heads' spoof on topical subjects and current events like the Drake vs. Meek Mill rap battle. There is exclusive archival footage of various artists like Kim Kardashian and Ray J, Quincy Jones,Jamie Foxx, Paris Hilton, Russell Crowe, Justin Timberlake and more. Additional content also includes history making footage such as the attack on Dr. Dre at the Vibe Awards and other memorable music events.

Francis' personal adventure in the hip hop industry is urban legend status. The television and video producer once captured and documented Hollywood's most intimate hip hop scenes with his lens. A pioneer underground video veteran, Francis' early productions included the now cult classics "Buckwild Beach Week," "Buckwild in Brazil," and "Buckwild 2001." These DVD productions were the first to showcase the beauty of women of color back when the popular "Girl's Gone Wild" series was ignoring them.

It was also Francis who introduced hip hop programming to Playboy TV with his original series "Buckwild." The shows highlighted uncensored videos and interviews from the likes of Busta Rhymes, Lil' Jonand theEastside Boys, the Ying Yang Twins,Jadakiss, Loon and Treach from Naughty by Nature. Real hip hop heads still own the Playboy TV DVD classic "Snoop Dogg's Buckwild Bus Tour" a project directed and produced by Francis.

A 20-year entertainment industry veteran who worked his way up from an ambitious intern at Polygram Records to owning and operating the hip-hop industry's most sought-after video vixen modeling agency, Dimepiece USA, Francis furnished countless models for the music videos of superstar artists like Jay Z, Usher, Eminem, 50 Cent, Kanye West, Nelly, Missy Elliot and many others. It was the operation of Dimepiece USA which saw his eventual demise however when he was convicted for the agency's involvement in an international drug smuggling ring. Francis maintains his innocence to this day.

"My ordeal with the Feds and subsequent imprisonment was a very humbling experience after having such broad access to Hollywood's elite hip hop community," reveals Francis. "I believe the journey has enlightened me and given me the answers to some of life's hidden secrets. I have literally sat in a prison cell and dreamt of days like this."

"While incarcerated, I spent much of my time writing my memoirs and reading tech and business magazines. Once I realized the Internet was taking over the industry and moving toward original content, I knew I was sitting on a vast catalog of prized footage. I am more than thankful to be aligned with Full Screen, the number one content provider in the marketplace. Securing this deal with them is a huge affirmation for me and a tremendous boost as I work to secure and position myself again."

New episodes of "The Buckwild Show" air every Tuesday on YouTube and new airings of "In The Lab" premiere every Thursday.

LA's Folk&B ladies ArtPeace announce release date for "Free Music" and video teaser!

ArtPeace's "FREE MUSIC" WILL BE INDEPENDENTLY RELEASED OCTOBER 23RD, 2015 ON A LABEL APPROPRIATELY TITLED "WILD SERAPE."

And here is the video teaser for single "Hi:)" which is out Sept 18th
https://youtu.be/l2DJo0tiypo

On one lazy yet fateful Saturday afternoon, Birmingham, Alabama born and Oakland, California raised, singer/songwriter Taura Stinson googled "Serape Headboard". Feeling unimpressed with initial results, she headed over to Craigslist in hopes of finding a local designer willing to make her Serape dreams come true. She came across Chrissy Depauw's "Love Shack Designs" and the two began discussing specs for Taura's new art piece(pun highly intended). As the conversation came to a close, Taura felt a cosmic nudge deep in her soul and asked Chrissy if she'd consider bartering for the headboard. "Sure, what do you do? ". "I'm a songwriter", Taura responded.

Now Taura could have listed her many accolades, being a Grammy nominated, multi-platinum songwriter who has written for/with artists including but not limited to long-time writing partner Raphael Saadiq, Steven Tyler, Andre 3000, Kanye West, Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland, Paloma Faith, Jennifer Hudson, Solange Knowles and even Earth Wind & Fire, but being humble she didn't. Instead, Chrissy (an accomplished Singer/Songwriter herself) visited Taura's website and jumped at the chance to seal the deal. Chrissy would handcraft a custom Serape headboard for Taura in exchange for a song. Feeling energized by this quirky coincidence, in less than a week Chrissy had completed the most amazing headboard that Taura had ever seen and they quickly arranged their first writing session.

The stars aligned perfectly as Taura and Chrissy connected on a level only understood by fellow Artists completely committed to their craft. They discussed the highs and lows of their journeys during that magical session and their shared view of the state of the music industry, coupled with infectious melodies and a relentless guitar loop... their first song was born.

Chrissy's journey had been the antithesis of Taura's. The San Diego native became a staple at the Santa Monica promenade years ago and her angelic voice would cut through crowds like wild fire. During her tenure she'd sold over 30,000 copies of her independently released self - titled acoustic cd. She has also shared the stage/worked with many artists including Andy Grammer, Capital Cities, Colbie Caillat and Javier Colon.

Both Taura and Chrissy contributed their talents to film. Chrissy served as co-writer and performer of "Set it on Fire" and "Dream" on the Honey 2 soundtrack, while Taura has co-written songs for various films including but not limited to the certified Diamond soundtrack for Men in Black (Will Smith), The Sitter (Jonah Hill), Epic (Beyonce'), Black Nativity (Forrest Whitaker & Angela Bassett) and Rio 2 (Jamie Foxx & Anne Hathaway), but the 2014 Gina Price-Bythewood film "Beyond the Lights" is where their collaborative journey officially began. Their song "Airplay" was featured in the film and was performed by Chrissy.

Both Taura and Chrissy felt their serendipitous union was not destined to end with one song and so they embarked on an musical journey, with Chrissy encouraging Taura to rise from the anonymous background she'd grown accustomed to and join her in splitting vocal duties.

One night Taura had a vision of herself standing alongside Chrissy with the name "ArtPeace" scrolling behind them. "Me, an artist?" She asked herself. Her soul replied, "Hell, yeah".

Immediately they began work on their soon to be released debut album entitled "Free Music". It includes the haunting single "High", co-written and produced by Darien Dorsey who also serves as co-executive producer. Darien's formal training at the Berklee College of Music coupled with Chrissy's undying love of 90's R&B and Taura's eclectic sensibility rendered a pervasive collection of music that bursts through the rigid and confined walls of "genre". ArtPeace describes their sound as "FOLK&B" which marries the organic sound of Folk music with rich lyrics and instrumentation that bleeds like the blues.

In addition to Darien, ArtPeace collaborated with Raphael Saadiq on the Southern hinged backyard song, "Son of A Gun". Saadiq also duets with the ladies on "Heaven Down Here" which is the sonic equivalent of licking batter dipped beaters of Grandmas best kept secret recipe.

Danny Wimmer Presents Announces Key Additions To Excecutive Team As Part Of Aggressive Growth Plan

Danny Wimmer Presents, producer of some of the largest U.S. music festivals in the rock and alternative landscape, has made several new additions to its executive team and support personnel as it prepares for aggressive growth in 2016. These include Vice Chairman Tony Guanci, Executive Vice President Gary Spivack, Senior Vice President of Operations Charlie Jennings, and Vice President of Marketing Eileen Mercolino.

In February, DWP announced that it had received substantial funding from the United Auburn Indian Community (UAIC) to purchase other festivals and promoters, launch new events and expand its operations, including its subsidiary, Southern Hospitality Concessions.

Founded in 2007 and based in Los Angeles, Danny Wimmer Presents has grown into the world's premier production company for rock music festivals, producing 9 unique live music festivals in high-demand markets across the United States. DWP is on pace to sell over 400,000 tickets this year, a 25% increase from 2014. By merging well-known talent with local cuisine and culture, DWP has become recognized within the industry for delivering the highest-quality, exceptional value entertainment experiences to customers, artists, sponsors, partners and host cities alike.

Says Danny Wimmer Presents CEO Danny Hayes, "In order to effectively deploy our capital, we needed to first add some key executives to our team. I am confident that these additions will allow us to reach our goal of adding at least 5 new festivals in 2016--through growth or acquisition--to our current slate of 9. I also expect that we'll hire an additional 5-10 people next year as we continue to aggressively add events over the next 5 years."

Tony Guanci--who was appointed to the DWP board earlier this year along with fellow sports and entertainment executive Peter Luukko--now joins the company full time in his new role as Vice Chairman. Guanci brings over thirty years of professional experience in the areas of business development, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and management as well as an overall knowledge of the sports and entertainment industries to DWP. Over his career, Guanci has consulted for many of the top companies in sports, music and entertainment, such as: Walt Disney Co., NBC Universal Studios, Spectacor Management Group (SMG), Comcast Spectacor, and sports teams including the Los Angeles Clippers (NBA), Anaheim Ducks (NHL), Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (MLB), and Oakland Raiders (NFL). Outside of the world of sports, music and entertainment, Guanci has developed over 35 million square feet of real estate, which includes industrial, hotels and high-rise residential throughout California, Texas, Las Vegas, and Massachusetts.

Says Danny Wimmer Presents CEO Danny Hayes, "Tony's talents and unrivaled Rolodex will be utilized to help grow DWP's existing business and to seek out new strategic opportunities. Tony has played a pivotal role as an advisor to Danny Wimmer and me from the initial inception of DWP. To now have Tony's full attention really signifies the growth curve we are on and the opportunities we see in the market today. I know I speak for Danny Wimmer when I say that adding Tony to our team full-time is a game changer for us."

DWP's new Executive Vice President Gary Spivack will exclusively buy talent for DWP and DWP related events. Spivack has three decades of music industry experience, including a successful history in talent buying, marketing and curating hard rock and alternative rock music events across North America. As part of the transaction, Spivack's RockHouse Presents Inc. is being folded into DWP. Spivack will continue to be a principal and co-executive producer for destination festivals Rock On The Range, Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion and Northern Invasion.

Founder and Chairman Danny Wimmer, a longtime partner and co-founder with Spivack on such major festivals as Rock On The Range and Carolina Rebellion, says, "Gary is the best talent buyer in the business and his signature is embedded in every show we do. Gary is also key to the services business we are building that includes talent buying, production management, and concessions through our wholly owned subsidiary Southern Hospitality Concessions. People know of us as event creators, but with the addition of Gary, I want to also be known as a complete event services provider."

"Having been in the foxhole with Danny over the years, and side by side partners on such recognized events as Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion and many others, the decision to fold RockHouse into the DWP family was a clear next step for me to take. No brainer," says Spivack. "Here's to DWP's future."

Charlie Jennings joins DWP as Senior Vice President of Operations. A concert industry veteran of thirteen years, Jennings previously served as Vice President and Producer at AC Entertainment, where he oversaw the operations and production for AC's concerts and festivals including Gentlemen of the Road featuring Mumford & Sons, as well as the Forecastle and Big Ears festivals, and played a leading role in that company's growth.

"Charlie is a proven leader in the event production space and is key to our effectively executing on our growth plan," says Wimmer. "He has a unique skill set that includes operations at both the event and corporate level. With Charlie handling more of the day to day heavy lifting, I can focus more deeply on the creative direction of this company and each of our events."

Eileen Mercolino, Vice President of Marketing, comes to DWP with extensive experience in entertainment marketing, artist relations, brand and sponsorship marketing. She's held a range of marketing, sponsorship and artist relations positions at companies including Gibson Guitar, Hard Rock Cafe, and the Vans Warped Tour. Most recently at Gibson Guitar, Mercolino was directly responsible for artist relations and marketing partnerships with platinum-selling and high profile artists including Slash, Godsmack, Aerosmith, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Blink-182, AFI, Incubus and Mötley Crüe.

DWP's Head of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships, Clay Busch, says, "Eileen's years of experience in marketing and brand integration at diverse companies in the music and entertainment industries make her an amazing fit for the direction we are taking with DWP."

In addition to these executives, DWP has added additional support personnel and is still interviewing for other positions including office manager and controller.

MusicDish Review: "I Am Not I" by Liza Fox

As she slips into unconsciousness, an evil darkness takes over her angel-like spirit and soul. In her dreams, she fights, allowing her warrior self to take hold. This is the setting to Liza Fox’s new music video, "I Am Not I." Produced by Jus Grata, "I Am Not I" is the true epic of Liza Fox and her struggle against battling her bipolar disorder.

In her bedroom, there is white sheets and white and black hearts hung on her white walls. Also, one can see a witch warrior and a dark angel. This is a representation of the two contrasting sides of bipolar disorder. The music does a great job in the use of symbolism. The harp and vocal choir sounds represent the angel side whereas the saxophone is the darkness. This gives the piece some unique jazz and church choir elements all inside a pop musical setting.

In her video, there is a book of spells where one can see the spell for "Defeating Boogeyman." Part of the spell reads,"I am light. I am one too strong to fight. Return to dark where shadows dwell. You cannot have this Halliwell. Go away and leave my sight. And take with you this endless night." One can imagine this as being the hallmark to anyone battling this type of mental illness. By speaking out about her bipolar disorder, Liza Fox brings attention to this challenging disease.

Dirty Lowdown & Dominican Don To Release New Single Tributing Michael Jackson

Florida-based artists, Dirty Lowdown and Dominican Don , are preparing to release a brand new single on Friday, July 31 . The new single, 'Just A Little Bit Of You,' is a reworking of the 1975 Michael Jackson classic. The track, distributed by CD Baby, will be available on every major digital music platform and streaming service. (iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, etc.) 'Just A Little Bit Of You' was originally released on Michael Jackson's fourth solo effort, 'Forever, Michael.' The soulful nature of the record laid the groundwork for the rest of Jackson's career, and his departure from the famous Motown Records shortly after opened a new chapter in the young prodigy's career. (The album was released when Jackson was sixteen.) The late legend passed away six years ago, leaving an incredible legacy and catalogue. He was, after all, the King of Pop.

Dirty Lowdown and Dominican Don shed the Motown vibe of the track for a more contemporary, modernized sound. The two artists are elegantly accented by heavy electronic instrumentation, tight beats, and string sections. There's also a significant addition of hip-hop lyricism on the latter half of the tune. While remaining faithful and respectful to the original song, both Lowdown and Don take creative liberties when reenergizing it for a new generation.

The creative license that Dirty Lowdown and Dominican Don take with 'Just A Little Bit Of You' is widely successful. Paying homage to the King of Pop seems natural and fitting, as the musical lineage of both these artists can most certainly be traced back to Jackson and the Motown sound. In 1975, Jackson charted well with the song, scoring his biggest hit in three years and top honors on both the pop and soul charts. Now, in 2015, forty years later, 'Just A Little Bit Of You' is ready to return. Both Dirty Lowdown and Dominican Don are seasoned, veteran performers that have extensive live and studio experience, especially in the Florida area. Dirty Lowdown was previously featured on the song 'Unstoppable,' a tune supporting the Miami Heat.

The song was remixed into several versions and was successful in harnessing the community's support of the team. The single will be released under the rising independent label, Mark Of Excellence Productions . Information regarding the artists and the label can be found below. The release will be available globally on July 31.

THE POLICE Manager & Music Mogul MILES COPELAND Delivers Keynote Interview at IES 15

Miles Copeland, longtime manager of THE POLICE & STING, came from an extended European stay to deliver the Keynote Interview at the IES 15 Music, Film-TV, Touring & Tech conference August 7 in the NoHo Arts District, Los Angeles California. Copeland, a longtime maverick & innovator, talked about turning a thousand UK pounds (approx $1800) recording into a 'billion dollar brand', creating a global touring empire from a brother & 4 guys in a van, & getting a car manufacturer to put up $18 million dollars in TV ads to support a STING album, among other groundbreaking moves he made in his legendary career.

IES – the INDIE ENTERTAINMENT SUMMIT is a four day, comprehensive conference, with a wide array of panels, seminars, workshops, networking events, honors, & concerts/showcases. In it's fourth year, the global event takes place in the NoHo Arts District in N.Hollywood, surrounded by a thriving region of film & recording studios, theatres, dance studios & the Television Academy (home of the EMMYS). Miles Copeland was one of over 100 industry speakers this year, & special events are already being planned for the big FIFTH YEAR Anniversary IES 16, August 10-13, 2016.

Interviewed onstage by IES Founder & industry veteran Jay Warsinske (who had worked with Copeland, band & label in those early formative days), Copeland had several examples of what led to THE POLICE's astronomical success & some shrewd moves that benefitted the processes along the way. "We found someone in the UK that owned a studio behind their home" says Copeland "& offered him one thousand pounds (approximately $1800) to record 10 songs, & that album became OUTLANDOS d'AMOUR, that contained the classic song 'Roxanne' amongst others". He explained that the producer Nigel Gray was offered points' (a percentage of profits) instead of the small fee that wasn't readily available, an offer he dismissed for the fee & later tried to re-establish after the apparent buzz the band was creating. Copeland says the percentage would have ended up being worth millions of dollars, instead he only got his flat fee of one thousand pounds. Rule 1: back end profits can make you wealthy on a hit project. THE POLICE's last tour grossed almost $400 million & they've sold over 75 million albums, tons of merchandise & endorsements, all totaling well over billion dollar grosses.

Another amazing story was being an 'unknown act' Copeland realized he had no clout or leverage getting big booking agents or promoters to book his fledgling group. He encouraged his brother Ian to form an agency (FBI : Frontier Booking Agency) and sent his three piece band (Sting, guitarist Andy Summers & other brother Stewart on drums) to every club or 'hole in the wall' that would allow them to perform early on in the US. "Being 4 guys, including a trio & one roadie", explains Copeland, "we were lean, mean & ready to go anywhere, not only in the US, but Egypt, India & many faraway lands which gave us a global market, but also exotic footage for our videos & this new exciting channel called MTV, that we embraced greatly!". The band subsequently grew with the burgeoning 'new wave explosion' in North America, videos & radio play on a steady succession of singles such as "Roxanne", "Message In A Bottle", "Walking On The Moon", and an exciting live show fronted by the charismatic Sting. Subsequently they went from a van playing dives, to tour busses playing arenas by their second & third tours. By the fourth they were headlining stadiums, festivals & playing multiple nights in the biggest arenas around the world.

Another amazing example of 'the indie spirit' and sheer entrepreneurially tenacity was when Sting released the solo album "BRAND NEW DAY" & after an initial buzz of the title track, the album has stalled in achieving a major hit song & was losing momentum. "We shot a video for the song "Desert Rose" featuring Cheb Mami", explains Copeland, "we had Sting & Cheb driving through the desert in a Jaguar car singing the song, I realized how great the car looked & took it to the car company's ad agency & convinced them that we have created a perfect 'commercial' for them, that would also promote my artist, & they fell in love with it & proceeded to buy $18 million dollars in TV commercials that just simply aired the video clips, with no voiceover or anything from Sting". The commercial created such a groundswell of excitement in the song, that radio was almost forced to play by public demand & ended up making it a big hit and the album became a multi-million selling smash success.

These are some of the many success stories from less than traditional circumstances he shared with the IES attendees that had come from all over the globe. "Miles was always a true maverick & innovator thinking outside the box", says IES' Jay Warsinske, "a hero & mentor of mine, & an inspiration to us all that with talent, drive & ingenuity, anything is possible if you persevere & go for it & never give up!" Additional successes of Copeland & stories included his success in launching REM, The GO-GO's, Danny Elfman of OINGO BOINGO, The BANGLES, TIMBUK 3, The ALARM, IRS Records, their own MTV Show "The Cutting Edge" amongst many others. For more info on the IES annual event, go to www.IESfest.com.

Shy Wear Reveal New Track "Beat Them Up"

Released via I Am Shy Music

Producers LGB and Aldo Kapone, who together make Shy Wear, are amidst a thirst to take their potent brand of House music out of their respective localities and into the lives of the masses. With this objective in mind, the duo present their stimulating new single, “Beat Them Up”, which boasts heavy house influences and some rebellious significance.

Shy Wear’s latest single is another mesmerising dance floor groove, but one with a striking message. Speaking of the new single, the pair explained how ‘Beat Them Up’ seeks to open the listeners mind to injustice, corruption and international finance. “Freedom is an illusion.

The thought provoking single has all the makings of a track that’s capable of doing the rounds at some of Europe’s major club closing parties. While Shy Wear remain to be somewhat mysterious with their releases, they’re undoubtedly talented and look set to continue stirring up more exciting material with an edge to it.
