The Music Row Best Western will host music industry information tables, networking areas, and training sessions from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday-Sunday, October 5-7 at 1407 Division Street Nashville, Tennessee 37203. For the first time, members of the general public can register separately to attend one-on-one brainstorming sessions with music industry professionals.

Mentors for this year's festival will include Fred Vail, Lisa Aschmann, Regina Carter-Boy, Ron Eckerman, Stephen Foster, Amanda Andrews, Jo Crowe, David Lowry, Pam Gunn, Kim Copeland, Janelle Angel, David Wray, Phil Brown, and Vinny Ribas.

Music industry exhibitors and sponsors include Kim Copeland Productions, Crowe Entertainment, producer Ron Eckerman (author of the new book "Turn It Up"), Indie Connect, Mind Coup, Musik and Film, Nashville Music Guide, National Media Group, Out of the Box Records, music industry attorney David Ray, Tennessee Songwriters Association, Top Notch Entertainment, Treasure Isle Recording, Tri Star Entertainment, and Whiting Publicity & Promotions to name a few....

Songwriters can also introduce their new songs by performing at a special "open mic" stage located between Demonbreun and Division streets. "The 'Independent Music Fest' is a wonderful career-building opportunity for artists and songwriters at all levels," said Cornelius "Popcorn" Robertson, founder and coordinator of the festival. "More than 100 community & industry volunteers will donate their time and resources to make this possible. Shows are open to the public."

Mentoring registration with one-on-one mentoring sessions with music industry professionals for $25 per day. $45 for 2 days or $65 for all three! Independent Music Fest / Nashville Oct. 4-7 Come Learn & Play!

Performing artists, songwriters, and industry will visit Nashville's Music Row from Oct. 4-7 (Thursday eve -Sunday) for the Independent Music Fest. Performers and songwriters will take to indoor stage locations along Demonbreun and Division streets from noon-midnight Friday-Sunday at entertainment venues such as Red Rooster and the Music Row Best Western Lounge with scheduled and open mic play opportunities.

The Best Western also will host music industry information tables, networking areas, and training sessions from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday-Sunday. Attendees can receive hands-on advice, critiques and training in the Music Specialty Info Areas on topics such as Career Critique, Products Critique, Recording, Publishing, Plugging, Legal, Records, Duplication, Distribution, Radio, Video, Broadcasting, Shop, Management, Promotions, Publicity. Productions... Indie Connect and the Tennessee Songwriters Assoc will also be on hand to answer your music biz questions. The education portion of the event is hosted by the Independent Music Association.

The annual "Indie Music Masquerade Gala" will feature costumed dancing from 7 p.m.-midnight on Oct. 6 (Saturday) in the Music Row Best Western Lounge. Also there is a pre fest opening mixer with live entertainment Thursday, October 4 from 5pm till midnight.

Do one or all at your own pace! Festival registration is $150 for three days, $110 for two days, and $60 for one day. The general public can enjoy three days of live music with a $20 armband. Indie music people from all points North, South, East and West will converge in Nashville, Tennessee, October 4, 5, 6 & 7, 2012 for the Independent Music Fest Nashville. Three days of music experiences where memories of a lifetime are created in a weekend on Music Row. Choose to perform as an artist seeking new material or singer-songwriter looking for cuts. Let your hair down at the Indie Music Masquerade where there will be dancing, food and fun! Or visit the Music Specialty Info Areas and Path Find to define your music future.

We're having a Pitch Fest. Come play or hang on multiple indoor stages as a performing artist or singer songwriter. The goal of the event is to pair performing artist with original songwriters who have the types of material the artist are seeking for their acts. By mixing the two together, we hope to get writers products directly in the hands of others who are working shows. This is Music Row and Music City, USA, so don't be shy!

Mid way thru the Fest on Saturday evening the event host an Indie Music Masquerade Gala. People are encouraged to come as they "ARE NOT" and hide behind a mask. With mask donned and costumes on, let the party begin. There will also be a silent auction, raffles and prizes.
