Are You Ready To 'Feel It'??

It's the middle of the night, an artist wakes up, sleeps, his eyes dry, he sits in front of a computer, working and producing his ass off. This is the story of dedicated hard work, perseverance and never giving up but more importantly grabbing his opportunity with both hands when it became visible. Today we have in house, none other than STRELOK himself and he is out with his latest single ‘FEEL IT'.

Speaking about his start as a music producer and more, Strelok says, "I started producing electronic music in 2013 when I produced 'Revolution EP'. That was the first one that I uploaded to SoundCloud and I have to say, I was very proud of it at that time. In those days, I actually didn't really know how to produce well, but I did my best."

"I always knew that some of my first productions were not really great , but those made up my mind to continue. At that time all I wanted to do was make bigger productions with better sounds and with every track that I made, I thought I was one step closer to my 'perfect production'."

Talking about his influences he adds, "I started producing Hardstyle, then Electro House, later Trap, and now I'm back to Electro House. I am also working on my first Deep House/Future House production currently. I have been influenced by artists like Zedd, Borgore, Dan Farber, Slander, Skrillex, KSHMR, and Oliver Heldens. Actually, I could say, that those are my favourite electronic music producers."

Speaking more about his latest track, he says "I produced 'Feel It' inspired from 'Virus (KSHMR Remix)' and 'Secrets (Tiësto & KSHMR)', so I can say that my last track was fully influenced by KSHMR. I wanted to produce something that sounded as good as those mixes, but at the same time something completely different and new. My goal is always making the listener feel like he is listening to something special and that's why the track is called 'Feel It'."

Speaking about his record label, he adds,"I worked very hard on this track and when Morior Invictus Recordings contacted me, it felt very significant. I decided to sign with them, because they're a young record label and I'm a young producer so I thought that we could grow together."

Worldwide Groove Corporation's New EDM Release Is Innovative and Diverse

In one of the most enterprising moves in EDM, Worldwide Groove Corporation are ending their "Year of the Groove" with a sonic bang. Their final installment in the 12 month series is a heterogeneous maxi-single of their new song "Make Me Free". But this isn't your typical remix project where various producers rework track elements from an original release. Four of the 5 completely unique mixes were actually done by the very busy hands of Worldwide Groove Corporation themselves, and the 5th version was programmed by emerging EDM producer Portarius. The only common element between the mixes is the vocal performance by Ellen Tift, songwriter and producer for WGC.

"It can be challenging to reinvent something that you've become so familiar with in one form,” says Kurt Goebel, programmer and producer for Worldwide Groove Corporation. "But early on we felt this song could both exist as an upbeat electronic track, and also at half tempo in a chillout style, and from there we branched off into other interpretations."

Reinvention is something Worldwide Groove Corporation became known for with their reconstructions of well loved jazz standards on their debut downtempo electronic album "Chillodesiac Lounge, vol.1: Fever,” which topped the charts on the XM Chill channel after its release. They also showcased this skill in their imaginative chillout remixes of classic country songs like "Ring of Fire".

Worldwide Groove Corporation's own renditions of "Make Me Free" are the "Black Orchid Deep House Mix", "Hot Azalea Electro Mix", "Water Lily Chillout Mix", and contrastingly the "Sweet Jasmine Acoustic Mix" featuring a unique vocal performance over piano and solo cello. Rounding out the collection, up and coming EDM producer Portarius adds the "Portarius Melodic Dubstep Mix".

"The Year of the Groove has been a monumental challenge for us," says Ellen Tift. "We've been constantly busy, always preparing the next release and promoting the last one on top of our regular music production work we do for clients, so I feel a tremendous sense of both accomplishment and relief to be at this point." As well they should. In all, Worldwide Groove Corporation put out 22 new tracks in the Year of the Groove, much to the delight of their growing fan base. "It's been a satisfyling labor of love," says Tift. "I'd do it all again in a heartbeat."

Worldwide Groove Corporation Collaborate With EDM Producer Portarius For Upcoming Release

In their final installment of their Year of the Groove, where they have put out one new music release a month for a year, Worldwide Groove Corporation are incorporating the talents of up-and-coming EDM producer Portarius into the mix. Their June release which will feature 5 entirely different versions of their song "Make Me Free" will include one melodic dubstep remix of the track produced solely by Portarius.

"This next release is unlike any of our previous releases in that we will put out five different versions of the same song at once, four of which we produced ourselves and one produced by Portarius," says Kurt Goebel, producer and programmer for Worldwide Groove Corporation. The four versions of the song produced by Worldwide Groove Corporation will mainly stay within their established sound as electronic music producers, ranging from downtempo chillout to deep house to electro, and the fourth incarnation departs from the electronica world in the form of a piano ballad with solo cello. "This project shows the scope of what we do and has been in the works for a long time. We are so glad to be able to end our Year of the Groove with this collection of tracks," says Goebel.

Worldwide Groove Corporation first became acquainted with Portarius while he was a commercial music major at Belmont University, and their electronic music connection became apparent very quickly. "Portarius played me the remix he had done of Kimbra's song "Settle Down", which had won a remix competition, and from the quality of his work, I could tell that he was someone we would be glad to collaborate with on our tracks," says Ellen Tift, songwriter and vocalist for WGC. "We aren't concerned with the fact that he is currently relatively unknown, we made this decision solely on his amazing talent, we absolutely love what he has done with this song, and we hope he gets some good exposure from this release."

"Make Me Free" is the 12th consecutive monthly music release by WGC, and the first of the series to have utilized the production skills of anyone else. "Worldwide Groove Corporation produces a sound unlike any artist I have ever worked with, and it was an invigorating experience to be able to produce my own interpretation of “Make Me Free” for them," says Portarius. "I was so thankful and excited for the chance to bring this song out of one sonic world and into another. WGC’s unique sound is perfect for this kind of remix, and I’m so thankful to have been able to work with them on this, and for the chance to share this track with the world." Portarius is currently working on various electronic music projects while also working full time in the music industry.
