The Official Mixtape Awards has nominated 14Kaye "Best R&B Mixtape for 2012." 14Kaye is a collection of 14 cleverly remixed renditions of classic R&B/Hip Hop songs. They say that the best revenge is living well and when lead vocalist Janis Cimerol wrote the lyrics to Hemlok抯 current single, "Vendetta" she did so to tell the story of a broken, vengeful girl rising to avenge herself at the hands the one who betrayed her. Says Janis, "I came up with these lyrics when I was in high school. Adolescence is a cruel place, and I dealt with it by writing. By combining my heartfelt emotion and pain with my love of horror films & gore, Vendetta was born." Cimerol has a voice that is at times haunting and dark, yet driven with raw power. When asked about what has influenced his music he stated that most of his best song writing has been influenced by everyday life. "Really, my songs are inspired by everyday life. Mostly everyone can relate to going out, partying, and having a good time, and that's mainly what my music, at least at this point, talks about," explains Vert.



Musically Vert explained that he hasn't heard any major comparisons to his style of music but goes on to explain, I have heard that my music sounds like lyricism over trap-inspired beats, as I make sure that all my tracks have as much bass as possible.



Vert plans to continue recording music as a solo artist and growing his buzz into national markets. He has spoken of currently working on his next project "Vert Lymon" in the meantime in both Missouri and Atlanta which he says will certainly be a "banger".
