Lawrence Blatt's Latest Guitar Album - Longitudes And Latitudes - Is Nominated For A 15th Annual Independent Music Award

San Francisco Bay area composer and guitarist Lawrence Blatt often combines classical guitar and modern steel-string acoustic guitar techniques, and is inspired by his passion for uniting music, math and harmonics. Earlier this week, Blatt was named by Music Resource Group (MRG) as an Official Nominee in The 15th annual Independent Music Awards (The IMAs), the influential awards program for independent artists and releases. Produced by Will Ackerman, this is the latest of Blatt's five albums to be released through his indie label, LMB Music.

Longitudes and Latitudes is aptly titled. Blatt loves to travel, and each tune on the album was penned in a unique spot around the world. The 15-track set on Longitudes and Latitudes is a soulful, exotic and stylistically-diverse musical travelogue including performances by top instrumentalists. In addition to Ackerman on the Klein Acoustic Guitar, the new album features the Hammond B-3 organ (Tom Eaton), piano (Kelly Park, Kori Linae Carothers), saxophone (Premik Russell Tubbs, Melecio Magdaluyo), electric bass (Sam Bevan), electric guitar (Marc Shulman), violin (Charlie Bisharat, Lila Sklar), clarinet (the late Jim Rothermel), flugelhorn (Jeff Oster) and percussion (Jeff Haynes).

Blatt has been playing acoustic guitar for over 30 years, and is proud to say that his music career began in Van Nuys at age 7, when his Erwin Street Elementary public school teacher placed a violin in his hands. Today, he continues to advocate for music programs in the schools. He performs his original compositions for finger-style-guitar in the San Francisco Bay area, and his recordings are played on media outlets throughout the world. His music -- heartwarming, soothing, and relaxing -- consists of layers of guitar work decorated with luscious melodies and percussive moods. New Single From Denise Lopez 'Ain't From Hollywood' (Catfight Remix)

Denise Lopez has a successful career as a singer/songwriter/producer/Dj with more than 500 000 albums sold. She has toured the world and has sold out Tokyo Dome in Japan twice! Some years back she was the only Swedish artist to open up for Michael Jackson in Sweden. Denise has worked with prominent producers and song writers such as Max Martin, Derek Bramble, Father Mc, Pras Michel (Fugees), Michael Feiner, Anders Bagge, Andreas Carlsson, Per Magnusson and David Kreuger among others.

Denise started her carrier as a dancer & backup singer and toured around the world between 1989-1994 with Dr.Alban, Melodie MC and the famous dance group Culture Beat (Mr. Vain). During her last year with Culture Beat she signed her first record deal and recorded the album TBA (Totally Bombastic Anecdotes) with Sony Music Sweden under her nick- name DeDe. Her second single (Party) opened up the market in Japan and her first album TBA went gold within a month. As an artist Denise Lopez was contracted to Sony BMG for five years (1994 - 1999). In 1997 Denise was the only Swedish support act for Michael Jackson down in Ullevi Gothenburg. In 1999 she went to Japan to do her show in the Tokyo Dome for two consecutive days, 100 000 people were watching those shows.

The end of 99 brought a new challenge for Denise, she started of her own label and by July of 2002 she released her fourth album in Japan (through Epic) under the title "Like a Queen". 2003 saw the release of three singles as well as her first DVD collection. In august of 2007 she teamed up with Grammy-winning recording artist Pras Michel (The Fugees) and released "Turn you on", layered with her sassy vocals and Pras Michel's signature fluid rap style. Turn you on is written and produced by Pras Michel. After nine weeks on the Swedish single chart, "Turn you on" went No.2

In december of 2007 Denise went to China for the first time, she did two shows at the biggest clubs in Beijing, Club Mix and Club Cargo. In november 2008 Denise did a tour together with Pras Michel in Estonia,

Letvia, Finland, Denmark and Sweden. In december 2008 she wrapped up her first live-band tour in China, a great success. In april of 2009 she went back to China for promotion in Shanghai. Her fourth album "Slave To The Sound" was released in China may 2010 under the title "Denise Lopez". Her fifth album "Black Lace & Leather" was released 2010.

In 2014 she started the producer, artist and dj duo Catfight with Denise Lopez (singer, songrwriter, producer & DJ) and Jennifer Love (Producer & Dj). Two multi talented soul sisters from Stockholm Sweden.

Catfight provides high technical skills and great artistic and interacting performances. Denise Lopez sings live to the music which creates a fantastic impact on the audience. Their hyper-energetic show combined with their evolved sense of music makes Catfight the perfect duo that stands out.
